This is one of the best places to eat here on the island. Not many to choose from. We ordered a Bloody Mary thinking it was... going to come with shrimp, but I?m guessing that?s only for their Sunday brunch menu. The lobster bisque ($10) was amazing. Thesteak appetizer ($17) was good, it had a gravy sauce over a bed of fries with grilled onions and peppers. We shared the freshcaptains fried entree. It had fried oysters, fried shrimp, fried calamari, and fried conch fritters on top of a bed of fries.Enough for two of us to share for $24. We would recommend checking this place out. We went here on a Saturday around 5. It was raining and it was not busy. It is a small place. I did not go inside as we sat on... their covered patio. It did rain but we stayed relatively dry. The view is great and the food better. The waitress was verypleasant and attentive. Margaritas are $5 everyday and we had just missed the mimosa special. Margaritas were stroooong. I hadthe grouper sandwich. One of the best grouper sandwiches I've ever had. The French fries were wonderful too. We had the grouperbites to start with a Chipotle Mayo. So good. My sister had a spicy shrimp app, which was more like a mini salad, but was good.My husband had the grouper tacos. He really enjoyed them. I imagine this place gets really busy when weather is nicer andduring high season. They have a small parking lot and again I imagine when it's busy it would be hard to findparking. We absolutely love Hooked! We have been coming for years and you can really tell the improvements made since Kyle took it over!... Nicer larger menu and way better quality of food! This place was so great!! I got the cod tacos and there was more than enough cod on each taco and it was delicious! Stop and check out Hooked Island Grill...We stumbled across this restaurant while traveling in and out of Pine Island. It's... definitely worth pulling over and grabbing a bite to eat. I had the Grouper Ruben Sandwich with Coleslaw instead ofSauerkraut...It was tasty. Sit on the patio and gaze at the beautiful view of the bay. Good food and service. I had the pineapple bowl. However they don't have a full liquor license and you can either order beer or... wine. If you want a cocktail, they're made with a fermented wine and it threw me off. Also it would have been nice to be toldthis before we ordered our food so we could have gone somewhere else. Read more
