We were visiting family in NJ from Nebraska and craving East coast pizza. We lucked out stopping at Angelo?s. The pizza crust... was crispy, and the cheese was just the right amount of gooey without being greasy. Don?t miss the garlic knots either. I stopped in last night with my wife. We had a 2 slices of the grandma pie. It is the best pizza in Matawan.OMG the variety of... flavors that hit your mouth with the first bite is heavenly. The crust is peppered with sesame seeds and is super delicious. Ican't wait to order again, you guys want real pizza that will leave your mouth watering, make sure to visit here! This was our regular Friday-night pizza place when I was growing up just around the corner - literally decades ago - and it's... awesome to see the family still in business. Stopped in on a trip a few days ago, and was thrilled to see that the pizza is asgood today as it was years and years ago. Grab a few garlic knots if you can, it's real garlic, not the jar stuff. Buffalochicken is legit a fantastic option, and you can never go wrong with the pepperoni. Long live Angelo's pizza! Read more
Owner is so down to earth and has a huge heart, not uncommon to see a few extra garlic knots in your order that you didn't... expect:) Pizza is fantastic (Try the Rustic Style) and the dishes are delicious, with "Italian" sized portions. We've beencoming here for close to 5 years. Read more
CHEESE is not listed for the Chicken Murphy sandwich however, it has cheese. When you have an allergy that?s a big deal. It does... state it has potato?s. We received one. Owners obnoxious reply... ?What do you want me to do about it??...... cue my husbandyelling in the background, ?fix your menu?. I was then told I have issues and hung up on. You can also place an order online forfood on Sunday. FYI, they are not open on Sunday ??????? RESPONDING TO OWNERS REPLY: When I called to let you know about thecheese allergy, I wasn't met with the well worded response you fabricated in your reply. I called back because you hung up onme. You were yelling so I replied I will be sharing this experience whether it's through my involvement with the Pto, danceschool, or strangers on the street. It's obvious your menu cannot be trusted when a food allergy is present. What's worse isyour customer service. Next time, try treating your long time customers with respect. This is the only place I know of that has hot???? sausage pizza!!!! And it is delicious!!!
