We have been coming to A’Salute since they opened. We love the outside bar and the one bartender (more than a bartender) Jeff... is OUTSTANDING. He knows us by name, talks to us with respect and listens to our requests. Always has a smile. Always polite andalways goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience @ A’Salute. The restaurant owners are lucky to have anemployee as Jeff. Jeff is a reason we always come back! As a couple that is also in a service industry, we can’t Thank youenough for the way you treat and serve us! Read more

I recently had an all adult party here, and it was wonderful! Vivian overlooked the party for me, she was helpful, kind, fast... answering all my questions, and accommodating! The food was fantastic, the Inferno Pizza was one of a kind! The prices werefair. The waitress, Danielle that worked my party was fast, kind, helpful with anything the guests needed, and kept checking onus to see if we needed anything. Vivian and Danielle were both great! My guests all had an awesome time! The place itself wasvery clean, the ambience was beautiful! I highly recommend this place for your next outing and/or party! I wanted to add to myreview. There was woman named, Julia that helped me with a bill question. She was incredible, friendly, happy to help, kind, andtook the extra mile over and over again to ensure I was satisfied with the information she was providing. She should be thegeneral manager of this place. Read more

The restaurant is located near the center of town and very easy to get to. The ambiance is very warm and the building has nice... architecture. It seems it was once a church. The food was ok. We ordered basic food which we have had almost everywhere. Therewas nothing outstanding here. Some of the food needed seasoning. The service was good. Food was a bit rushed (we had entrees onthe table before we finished our appetizer). The food is a bit overpriced. A pasta dish was $30 although it was bland. Calamariwas $20 which was also bland. I was also surprised there was a fee for paying with card and not cash (about 4% fee). Overallthe place was average with nice architecture. Would recommend cheaper places with better food which in NJ there is no shortage. Read more

Have been here three times. Have enjoyed the food until this visit. Made reservation for early Father’s Day dinner. Got there,... not busy. Service was slow and not what you would expect for what is trying to be an upper class restaurant. Apps weremozzarella en corozza, very good. Husband had clams. He said they were very salty. Entrees I got what I’ve gotten each timeI’ve been here, because I liked the dish. This time it wasn’t as good. And had lots of calamari legs. But they were so tinythey looked like bugs. It was off putting. But I didn’t bother saying anything. I just pushed them aside. Dish just was notwhat I had in the past. Oh and what I found odd was they gave you two and a half rolls. It looked cheap in the basket. Husbandhad the ribeye (boneless) which he said besides being really salty, the steak was good. When he ordered the steak he assumedfried carmalized onions meant onions fried in a pan. NOT frizzled onions that my husband hates. He tried to discuss this withthe waiter when he brought it out. But was fluffed off. Not a good experience. When your going out and spending 180.00 on dinner( 2 drinks each. He had beer mind you) I want better service. Empty bottle beer left in table when you bring the next one on atwo top is really hard since the tables are so small that nothing not needed should be on that table. Just wouldn’t go back atthis point. All things aside, the hostess we had the last two times a young girl ( don’t have her name) she was so nice, pleasant and inviting. Past that, really unhappy. Really well executed menu, everything came out as described and very flavorful. They really have a great Penne Vodka dish as... well as branzino. Highly recommended, don't forget there is a full bar and wine list to top it all off. Read more

1/29 Hostess not friendly, doesn’t greet you, and just looks miserable… Star Wars movie on all the screens (weird) and music... did not create a fun vibe in the bar area. Food was not terrible but the Pizza was served on a metal cafeteria tray with noextra plate. Gluten free pasta with sauce was really tasty . Dirty martini had some kind of oil floating on top and much toodirty. JW black was a small pour for the money. Would have ordered a double if the server had informed us. Read more

I had dinner here tonight to celebrate me graduating nursing school and had the BEST experience. I don’t recall my servers’... names but they were the absolute sweetest people, and they made sure everyone at the table was happy and taken care of,especially me! The servers even brought out plates with a message in syrup (I couldn’t eat dessert because I’m vegan, whichis totally fine!) reading, “congrats to the person we will now be calling at 3AM for medical advice!”, and sparklers. Iabsolutely loved that, and the message on the plates was hysterical????. It felt like I was being taken care of by a friendrather than a stranger. I will 100000% be coming back. Thank you so much to the staff for making the celebration of my nursingschool graduation so special! Read more
