Lately, Poco Playa has had karaoke every Friday night. My friends and I have gone a handful of times. Their food and staff are... amazing! Drinks are also great! And they have corn hole outside! Clean, inviting atmosphere and ample parking make this awonderful spot to dine, hang out, and have a few drinks! Featured photos are of the shrimp and oyster po boys. Highly recommendfor sure! The worst service I've experienced in quite some time. We were 1 of only 3 tables, the place was empty yet our service was... terribly slow. We only ordered 2 things, the steak nachos as an appetizer and the catfish poboy with fries. 15 minutes afterplacing our order, the server came over to ask what sandwich we'd ordered which of course meant that either the order hadn'tbeen put in or was incorrect. We wait about another 15 minutes and the poboy comes out with the appetizer which was cold. Wereceived onion rings instead of fries and waited another 10 minutes for the fries. Asked for an extra plate which we never didreceive. Had to go find our waitress to pay the bill. The food, aside from the nachos being cold, was decent, hence the 2 stars. Read more
This place is a must when you visit Matagorda. The atmosphere is great, the service is super friendly and the food was... delicious. They have a huge patio where you can enjoy the ocean breeze and a cold beer. They did some renovations as well so itlooks fresh. Read more

I have dined here 3 times. First time i was served cold fried shrimp. 2nd time I ordered the "debris" po boy. Spending a fair... amount of time in Louisiana is have ate my fair share of poboys. This is 100% not a debris poboy. This was more of a French dip.3rd time was a burger and it was an average burger. 1st time my wife ordered a banana daiquiri. Took about 10 minutes to arriveduring a non peak time. 2nd trip she ordered a hurricane. It arrived quickly, but the storm surge got to it first. The drinkwas very watered down with only a hint of hurricane mix. Great decor though. Read more
The food was good but I was hungry. I got the cheapest item on menu and still payed almost 40.00 for two hamburgers. Very... exspensive. I have to drink a lot of liquid when I eat because of medical condition. I did not get a refill on tea. Was not evenoffered a refill. If your waitress is too busy serving, maybe have a stand in or hire another. I was impressed with the decorbut not the service. Read more
