Ridiculous! I live in one Wantagh Woods just a few blocks from Jen?s. I have been a regular customer for three years (since... moving to the neighborhood) and was treated so rudely by their staff. I placed a order for my family and was told it would bedelivered in 30 to 40 minutes. Close to an hour and a half later, I called and they said they are busy and I could come pick itup myself. I told him my children were sleeping and I could not leave the home and they replied ?so you cancel the order?. Thiswas after numerous calls and being told ?the driver will be there soon?. I understand that they may be very busy and/or shortstaffed; either way a better solution would?ve been an apology and extending the order at no charge (or at least a partialrefund). I hope Jen?s ownership reads this review and makes serious changes on how they handle their mishaps. When thesecircumstances come up you need to do better and handle your best customers with respect. The food is actually really good. The only reason I am giving it a 2 stars review is became the cashiers are not good. I have... worked in the service industry before, McDonalds, Restaurants, even a Salon. Point being, I know how it feels to work in aservice industry. Their were two young ladies in the front when I went. One started to trash talk a customer who had recentlycalled in to place an order. Why would you start trash talking a customer in the front of the restaurant? Then when they servedmy food they just threw the back to me. I found that so disrespectful. They need to be told that is not ok and have somerespect. If they aren't corrected this place will start getting more bad reviews. Not because the food isn't good, or becausethe place isn't clean or because the owners are bad. But because the Cashiers are giving this local food place a bad name. Read more

Been a while since I have been in this place since I don't work over there anymore but I love the food there it's clean and... inviting Jen is a nice person very friendly understanding caring helpful food is very good large portions that I have food for afew days always hot and made the way you ask for it I don't know if this place would deliver to me were I live now being thedistance I still love this place and the people and the food now I just called with in the last two weeks and I was treated veryrude and I also was hung up on the phone I was told that I was speaking to a manager and I was hung up on by him for asking forinformation and I called back and I was lied to by another person who said that the manager was not there and my call back waswas under a minute Jen would have not ever done that to me or anyone else that is why she has a great business she was so verycaring about her customers she was warm and friendly understanding great listening to her customers concerns conference andsuggestions I was told she has other businesses the towns there's a Chinese restaurant and I asked for information and theyrefuse to give it to me years ago I bought Chinese food from her restaurant and I dropped very hot soup on my lap that wasdelivered to me and I had second and third degree burns on my lap and she was so loving and caring and understanding about itthat she treated me like a princess for that point on I only stopped going there because I stopped working and I moved to faraway from the restaurant now I would never ever go back there because of the way I was talked to and treated on the phone I havetold all the people I know what happened to me in my last phone call to this place and all my friends standing by me to neverever go back there again Read more

Pre pandemic, we saw glowing reviews and gave it a try. It was good that time, but this time, we ordered again and it is... horrible! The wings are heavily breaded almost like KFC but with no meat on it. The chicken lo mein does not taste like chickenat all, but some odd fishy/porky flavor and looks like tofu. The noodle is just stir fried with no sauce or anything and isbland. The sesame chicken came with two pints of fried rice which is the only saving grace. The chicken was good with the sauceon the side but the quantity was lacking for the price. The wonton soup that comes with it had a slight curry flavor anddissapointing. Never going back. Read more

The cost is about average for the area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food was ok. It's not the best Chinese... food buy certainly not the worst. The egg rolls were great and had a nice blend of vegetables in them. The fried rice was ok andthe sesame chicken had way too much sauce and breading. It's a cute little place that has clean tables to enjoy your food if youare shopping in the area or just want to have a quick lunch. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the main entrees. Quick fast and good food. Clean location. Was recommended to this restaurant by neighbors and it's been nothing other than... positive experiences. Even on dinner or holidays they are pretty much on the money. Nice sizable portions as well. Read more
