The festival buffet used to look and feel 1000 times better with its warm and dim lighted atmosphere and beautiful medieval time... look, now it just looks and feels like a hospital cafeteria (Bland). Edit: My comment no longer applies as this buffet has beenshut down permanently, it was one of those businesses that never came back from Covid's wrath, I will highly miss dinning herethe food was great and it was the main reason I used to go to Foxwoods. Still closed and simply no communication why. If you will never reopen simply day so. If you will communicate when. If I simply... wanted to enjoy the casino there are closer options. The buffet was always the draw for me. Read more

The food there used to be great, the best buffet i had ever been to. The breakfast spread was unreal you could get everything... from eggs to ice cream, eat like a king. But then Covid happened and the buffet stopped. The reason for the 1 star is becausenobody seems to understand why the buffet at this point has not returned. Every buffet is open, 99% of all restrictions aregone. Covid cases are less frequent than the flu as stated by the cdc but still foxwoods is not normal. Definitely quiteconcerning and it does make me second guess visiting some times, i have also heard the same from other people as well. Danceclubs open, people maskless, partying, but nope the buffet is closed. Read more

People don't realize how hard it is to serve the public 8 hours a day and keep a smile on your face with a good attitude.... Dealing with hundreds of personalities a day takes dedication and patience. I commend these employees, management and serversfor their hard work. I work as a cashier in a major retail store and believe me with all the different personalities I dealwith a day prayer comes in handy. Foxwood is beautiful and so are the people who work there. Kudos to you! Hope the ownerreads this. So he knows many of us appreciate him. Read more

I recently visited The Rainmaker Buffet. I have to say it was gorgeous inside I like how it was set up with everything labeled... on like little TV screens I have to say the food was excellent although the only issue that I had was the table service. It wasgood but it took time for them to remove our dirty plates. We went at breakfast and the have amazing grits, homemade omeletteand kielbasa sausage. They may want to rearrange the omelette station. The raw ingredients are easily accessible by customers. While I was there, a guy walked up and grabbed a raw egg thinking it was hard boiled (oops). All in all, it was good eats!! Read more

OVER PRICED AND UNDER WHELMING! This was our first trip to the newly renovated Rainmaker Buffet at Foxwoods since it reopened,... we had lunch. This was what my wife and I like to call "ONE AND DONE". The choice of foods was limited and basic. However, theprices are outrageous, $25 for lunch and $29 for dinner! The setup was awful. The layout does not flow well. The clean dishesare placed far apart and not at each station. Not even at the beginning. The stations do not have individual labels on thefoods, instead above the station to one side there is a small tablet that lists the dishes below. But some were not evenaccurate as we were there for lunch and they still had the breakfast menu. The meat carving station is ridiculous! It was ropedoff so that you had to squeeze into a small area, go past the station and turn back. The gravies were before the cuttingstation, so you pass those first get your meat then try and get back to it where the people waiting behind you are! The ropedoff area only leaves a small space to squeeze by if you want skip it. Only enough room for one direction. Like going through aconstruction zone when one lane is closed. You have to take turns. The foods themselves were good, well prepared and of prettygood quality. There was salad, soups, a flat bread pizza, meat balls, sausage and peppers, some oriental foods, couple differentkinds of chicken, pork and gravy, some veggies, corn on the cob(this was tasteless), some seafood (oysters, shrimp, friedfish..), mac and cheese, lasagna rolatini, pasta w/chicken pesto, mashed potatoes, small baked potatoes, the carving station hadbeef, pork, chicken and turkey. The deserts were typical, being cakes, cookies, pudding, ice cream, etc. The waitstaff/customerratio was not ideal. They were very friendly and courteous but there were not enough of them. They had to service the drinks, clear the tables, wipe the tables and reset them. This made the service suffer. This, however, is a management Read more
