Be aware to anyone who has a food allergy!!! The incompetent cooks apparently can?t understand the concept of a FOOD ALLERGY!!... We called IN ADVANCED and told them about my mothers SEVERE seafood allergy. Explained that nothing at all can be used in herfood that had even touched shrimp. We have never had this issue before! She gets her food and it?s came in contact withseafood!!!!! I called and went ?Karen? on the 2 managers that were there and they called the owner. I was told the owner wouldcall me but my phone has not rang! That?s fine! Any and all medical bills that may come from this will be given to them! Ifsomething bigger happens to my mother from the allergic reaction, then an attorney will absolutely be made aware of thattoo!!! You would think a restaurant would take an allergy more seriously! Someone should be held responsible for this incidentthat could have been avoided like it has been the multiple times we have eaten there!!! Would give 0 stars if it werepossible! Since moving to the area we have tried quite a few Mexican restaurants but we knew we hadn?t found the ?one? until now. The... restaurant has a great atmosphere, ample seating and the service is top notch. My husband hadn?t even set his glass down beforea refill was before him. Went to Ponchos for my birthday and had lunch. This place is very nice and has a good staff. I started out with a mongo... margarita that was very good. I got a two taco, beans & rice lunch special. The chicken taco on corn tortilla was very good andflavorful. The refried beans were outstanding and had some whole beans within them. Topped with a very good cheese. The rice wasalso top notch. Very big grains of Spanish rice cooked perfectly. I forgot to mention the chips and salsa at the beginning wasdelicious as well. Hard not to fill up on those with the margarita. We had six people and two had margaritas and our bill waslike $38.00. Very good food and excellent prices. I highly recommend Ponchos if you like Mexican food. I'll be going back soon. Read more
We were traveling through town from Atlanta on our way to Pidgeon Forge and decided to stop for lunch. This appears to be family... owned, but not sure. However, everyone was very friendly, the food came out fast, the quantity was very generous, and mostimportantly, we both thought the food was great. They refilled sodas without asking and offered more chips and salsa. The priceswere certainly reasonable. If we ever travel through again we will definitely stop in. Read more
Have only eaten here once, but it was a great experience. Food was fantastic and very reasonable price. Salsa was also on point.
The food is always amazing! I come here for the empanadas. They are my favourite and this is the only place I know to get them.... Staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is brought out fresh, hot, and quickly. Just an all around great place to eat. Read more
