I have not found any Mexican food that is as good as California, Mexican food since I moved to Tennessee. That has now changed,... Los Amigo's was an unexpected find in the city of Maryville. The food was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. My wifehad chicken enchiladas and I had carnitas. Both were excellent. My only problem with them is that I am about a 2 hour driveaway. I moved here from California (sorry lol) and let me say that Los Amigos beats every Tex Mex place I?ve been to out west. First,... the restaurant style salsa is simply stunning! Please sell jars of this to go if you?re reading this! The food is first rate,the quality is top notch, the flavor is addictive and the service is always fantastic. I was excited because the sign said authentic Mexican food but it?s not. They use ground beef in the burritos (huge red flag),... their salsa is awful, tortas are made with a stiff French baguette and the food was not fresh. I asked if my daughters burritocan have the lettuce and sour cream inside the burrito instead of on top so she didn?t have to cut it, he cut me off and said-we don?t break the rules, that?s how it comes. I ordered a carnitas torta and he changed it to the torta plate (came with twofried potato tacos, literally just potatoes in a fried tortilla) and charged me more for it. This place has the best chicken fajitas I?ve ever had! We came here with a big party- about 8. And they brought us each a bowl... of salsa which I really appreciated. The chips came out warm and crispy. The salsa was pretty spicy but still good. We orderedthe chicken fajitas. It came with rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream, all on one big plate. These were absolutelyamazing!! The chicken was juicy and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The onion was perfectly sweet and caramelIzed. It wasseasoned in a sauce that was so delicious. It was a big portion but I ate so much because it was just that good. The beans wereseasoned well. The only complaint I have is that the rice wasn?t too great and I wish they gave more guacamole but rather thanthat, 100% recommended coming here. Went to get take out after work. All employees wore a mask which is important to me. I got a combination dinner. The chicken... taco was excellent, real good flavor. The beef enchilada was average with a bad sauce. I didn't like it but others might. Thebeans and rice were very good. The cheese on the beans was real good. Next time I'm just getting chicken tacos. I wouldrecommend this place for some tacos for sure. Read more
Omg!!!! My Husband and I are servers and when I tell you our server was rude, nor did he seem like he was a people person. ... every time we needed something we had to go find our server or ask another server for something and when he did decided to comecheck on us he had an attitude . He noticed none of us had eaten our food because it was nasty mind you we were visiting fromout of town and our host recommended this place I give them a ???????? we only paid for our drinks and left we should havegotten up after my Mother asked for spinach dip she got white cheese sauce with a lump of frozen spinach in the middle but wewere hungry so we decided to stay we all decided to order and that was they wrong thing to do !!!
