As a big BBQ fan I was very much looking forward to this experience. The walk-in, order and take out process was relatively... quick and easy. I also found the service was friendly and helpful. The food was good (not great) however portions weredisappointing E.g. a regular size brisket sandwich was served on something similar to a small dinner role; seems like anothersad example of ?shrink-flation.? A std burger bun size would have made it more satisfying and maybe lead to a repeat visit. Read more

Great Food! This is the best BBQ in central/southwest VA. It is well worth the drive. Always moist tender meat with a great... selection of sides. Everyone at the restaurant are super friendly & make sure you have what you need to enjoy your meal. We ateat the restaurant but also grabbed some take-out for later too! Read more

Fantastic local favorite we tried while passing through Martinsville area. Definitely a place I'd come back to &... recommend. Our waitress was spot on, all around great service. Our party of 7 tried a variety of proteins, and every plate wascleaned - Just delicious with everything we tried. -Hush puppies, loved, loved LOVED them. -Collard greens - I enjoyed them,but they were *different* Just not your normal smoked turkey & Cajun that most tend to favor -brisket - my 3 slices were juicy &wonderful - my wife's not so much. A little dry, end pieces & more fatty than she had hoped for - but had no problems devouringit. -pulled pork - I could eat everyday, for the rest of my life kinda good. -Mac n cheese - Meh, it was OK. Kids loved it -that's what really matters! -French fries - so crisp & light - a big hit with the kids. -brownies - get it warmed. Cakey, butdelicious. -Brownie pie - disappeared rather quickly. -blackberry Cobbler - oh my. Now this is what I needed. -pork rinds - Ihaven't tried yet, but I purchased 2 bags to go. Food was fast and good for the most part. The onion rings were terrible! but the fries were great. I got a bbq sandwich and was... good, my wife got a club sandwich and it was out of this world good. The tea wasn't terrible. Some one mentioned my birthday andthe waitress said i got a free desert and read me the choices I chose banana pudding and I'm so glad i did. it wasn't that coolwhip stuff that people try to pass off as banana pudding it was fresh from the oven meringue on top straight out the oven Bananapudding like grandma used to make. I mean it was still warm! she brought us 3 spoons and we shared my dessert i could have ateit all myself i ain't had pudding like that since my grandma passed away 11 years ago. It was great!
