Cozy spot with a nice bar and outdoor dining area.\nMy friends and I enjoyed our breakfast here before heading to ride at FATS... over at Clarks Hill across the river. Ordered a few frittatas - my friends said they were good. I ordered the short rib & eggs,it was good, I was expecting a bigger piece of short rib though. Today was the first time trying Local. The food and service was off the hook. We will be going back. We both had breakfast... Frittatas; Western and Short Rib which were served with a delightful salad and home potatoes seasoned just right.\nLookingforward to the next visit to try either a different breakfast meal or something under the sandwiches! I sat at the bar and the most hospitable bartender took care of me. I didn?t catch her name, but she is amazing. Made me feel at... home and had great recommendations. I?m visiting from out of town and needed a quick bite, I had the local burger and it wasseasoned properly and came out hot. This place is clean, organized and well managed. I?ll be back! Read more

I had been told this was a good breakfast spot. I came on Wednesday, 7/6. I arrived at 8:00 AM to find the door locked. I waited... a bit and called to ask if they were going to be open. I was told yes but that the cook was running late. I asked if I couldcome inside for some coffee and was let inside. When I asked if the cook would be here shortly he responded with a yes. Theperson who let me in got me some coffee and went about his business. At 8:24 I asked if the cook had arrived yet and heresponded yes. I was surprised he did not tell me that when the cook got there because I was obviously there to eat. He handedme a menu and took a phone call. The menu was for lunch. I finally ordered some eggs and dry toast. If that was the manager hiseffort was minimal and made a poor first impression. I may try again because Edward is a good guy. First visit to Local. So excited for a breakfast restaurant in this area. I want it to succeed and become popular. My... recommendations are to elevate the dishes a bit. French toast was very basic but added bananas and pecans which added flavorbut then pretty pricey. Biscuits and Gravy have great potential. The biscuits are cheese which are delicious but the amount ofgravy was so sparse it barely covered the biscuits . I had to order extra gravy and then only had enough for one biscuit. Let?s all support this restaurant and just encourage the chef to make some important tweaks . With First Watch in town similarprices and much better flavor and selection, you want to match their quality and experience!!! Will try lunch next as itlooked like some good sandwiches. Read more
