Good food; good service. A little pricey, but worth it.

Just wonderful. Thanks E2 owner, staff and of course Mike for one of the nicest meals in a long time. Comfortable, clean,... relaxed and romantic with excellent quality. What we ate: Amazing warm fresh bread. Rich and unusual. Fresh oysters, deliciousmeatballs. Steak superbly cut and cooked. Divine scallop and aspargus over lobster risotto special. The English garden martiniwas a perfect summer treat. Nice IPA selection. And then the blueberry lemon tart was the best I?ve ever tasted. Wished welived closer to be a regular. So nice to have a meal out that was worth it. We?ll be back. Read more

I went to this restaurant last night, I have driven by hundreds of times in the last 10 years, Bought a friend of mine there,... The atmosphere not so good, The hostess was very rude, The wait et was quite pleasant, Order two drinks which were good, Iordered house salad with chicken tacos My friend ordered salmon First of all let me say by getting the salad, it was somethingthat, I give my hens, A better mixed greens, It looked like the chef sat on it, One slice of tomato two slices of cucumber, saturated with dressing, and not much mixed greens on the plate, you could actually see the plate through the greens, shamefulcharging $10 for that, As for the chicken tacos the meat was all black, disgusting ????, And make things worse again, there wasa cat walking about the restaurant, which I found very strange, My friend liked it but that?s OK, I asked a waiter to remove thesalad from the bill it did not happen, Bottom line I was happy to get out of there So I minus on everything, Read more

Classy place great service but the food is way overpriced. We got Crabcakes for an appetizer and there was only one on the... plate? I ordered the steak the only one on the menu and it was $39. I was hoping it would be good because it was so expensivebut the steak was dry and needed A1 sauce Read more

Great place, great food. You can have a pizza and 1 drink for you and your wife and the bill will be decent. The pizza looked... awesome. If your having dinner for 2 expect $$$ the food and decor are both excellent. Great place for a special dinner. Wewill go back. Read more

Visited this lovely restaurant last night for the first time and it sure did impress! It is beautiful and tasteful inside. The... staff was welcoming and friendly, especially Mike. We ordered a bottle of delicious Pinot Noir and the Lobster and Goat Cheeseapp. It was divine! Obviously, the chips were homemade (but if they could just be a little thicker so they don't break soeasily!) and I had the boneless pork chop wrapped in bacon with roasted sweet potatoes and apples. My friend had a gorgeoussteak with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. UNBELIEVABLE! I will definitely recommend AND be back. Read more

Great Meal - but unwanted guest.... Have always been a fan of this restaurant, even back when it was called Ember. Recently... took some friends there, as its just a different atmosphere than other South Shore restaurants. As usual, cool atmosphere, nicestaff, and great food - but...About halfway through our meal, one of my friends felt something "furry" brush up on his leg -obviously quite the fright, when we looked under the table - it was a cat!. Yes, a live cat in the restaurant. After us, itsauntered over to the next table where a woman had to get up mid-meal from her table and waited for cat to keep walking (catallergy). When the server was asked about this, she seemed embarrassed and just said its the owners cat - with that "not much Ican do about it" look. Yes, its a cat - not a wild animal, but this is a high-end restaurant with high-end prices. Having anynon-service type animal walking throughout the floor unattended, while trying to enjoy a fine meal just seems unacceptable. Whatabout people that have allergies, or just don't like cats - or any animal rubbing legs when they are dining out? Again, E2 isnot some dive bar, where's its "cute" to have some sort of mascot. Just not cool... Read more
