Super good food, dont let the fact that its in a mini mart /truck stop fool you. The food is legit authentic, decent prices and... the people are very nice. Im already planning our next trip. Delicious food, very happy and only a 25 min drive from long view. Read more

Had been seeing this place and wanting to try it for a while. Got the lamb shank, garlic naan and some small pastry I can not... for the life of me recall the name of (not pictured). I almost did not buy because it seemed expensive but i am glad I didbecause it was absolutely delicious! I drive trucks and eat all over and this was easily one of the most enjoyable meals I havehad in months out on the road. And the portion was large enough I have an entire extra serving to eat for lunch tomorrow Read more
My expectations for this restaurant was too high. I lived in the Middle East and had the privilege of experiencing authentic... Indian cuisine - what they are serving at Taste of India does not even come close. I paid $51.75 (including tip) for 2 portionsof butter chicken, 2 mango lassies and 3 pieces if naan. Honestly the most shocking was the price of the naan - one piece ofnaan costs $3.99 and I am a 100% positive that it's not even homemade. If you choose to get takeout from Taste of India, might Isuggest you purchase a 2.2lb bag of naan from Sam's Club for $4.98 - it's probably the same naan they serve. Overall, the foodwas kind of bland. There was a piece of paper in my butter chicken - it's not the end of the world. The lady who made the foodand helped me was truly kind. I freaked out on the inside when I saw she had a wound on her hand - it did put me off of my food.I would just suggest having a bandaid on it, or wear gloves. She was sweet, and that's just a piece of advice. I was expectingan Indian lady or Indian man preparing the food. I am really glad that I tried the food - I have been wondering how it is forthe longest time. I now know what to expect and probably would not return. Anyways, if you love curries and love flavorfulfood, I would not recommend. Read more

We just moved to east Texas from the west coast and didn't think we were going to get to eat Indian cuisine for a while. We... found Taste of India located in a gas station in a town about 30 minutes from us (we thought it was weird until we've learnedlots of restaurants are located in gas stations in east Texas!) Went today for lunch and I'm still thinking about the foodhours later! It was authentic and layered with flavors that obviously took hours to cook. We have Indian friends who have madeus home cooked meals using authentic spices and ingredients from their home country and that's exactly what we got to experienceat Taste of India! So Good! We'll definitely be back! Read more
