Phenomenal greens: large, undulating, fast as all get-out. October foliage was beautiful and not yet at peak. Fairways... well-conditoned and forgiving, except holes 4 and 5 - very narrow. If I could give the course 10 stars, I definitely would! Everything about The Medalist is top notch, from the employees to the... course itself, and even the food, not to mention the overall value of the course you get for the greens fees they charge. Thiscourse is easily in my top 5 in the entire state, its that good! Coming in from the Metro Detroit area, this is a place thatI'd have no problems making the 90 minute drive to play any day of the week. I attended nearby Olivet College so every year wetry to get a group together for a homecoming round at The Medalist. Lowell and his staff are the best around! Read more

Some of the staff, Lowell and Brad, were very friendly and made our foursome feel accepted and special. The course is tough if... you haven't played it before but we found the members we encountered on the course were very friendly and helpful. Our cartdied on hole 16 and Lowell was right there assisting us. The downside was the two younger women employees we encountered at theturn in the clubhouse. They were rude and eye-rolling annoyed with our questions even the golfers checking in said something tomy husband about their rude behavior and tried to assure him that not all employees are that rude. Maybe they were having a badday, I think if Lowell had been there it would have been a different scenario. So it's an easy decision, certainly don't wantto upset some of the 'golf course women employees ' by asking questions: this will be our last time at this golf course. Read more

Played this course for the second time this year, still as beautiful and well maintained as our first visit. It's definitely a... course that is enjoyable for any level of players and everyone should love this facility and experience a great time. A stunning layout. First three holes good warm-up. The rest is a woodsy layout with undulating fairways & magnificent greens... that roll true and speedy. Superb clubhouse with all the amenities and wonderful food and meal options. One of my favoritecourses in the entire state. Read more
