To start I must say service is VERY slow Server did not check on us often Food was extremely bland and some points tasteless -... we sat at a nice table by the window but we were pretty isolated from the other tables where people were We were very surprisedof the flavorless and strange way of some dishes - example shrimp and beans were mixed in a shredded lettuce with red sauce asopposed to a broccoli rabe or spinach in a clear sauce -so the beans had to be picked out strands of salad slivers. Butter wasnon salted for bread. My dish needed lemon but never saw a waiter after the food was delivered until basically finished then wasasked how everything was and there was too many complaints to get into. We would never go back so we just said it was fine. Because we weren?t looking to start any commotion or looking for free food We doctored it up with salt pepper and cheese and atewhat we did. However if I?m the server or busser and see a lot of dishes still with food on them and no one wanted a doggie bagto go, I would of brought it to my managers attention. But it?s ok, we don?t go back there and move on - next !!!! Read more
A dear friend of mine knows the owner and has been raving about this place for years. I tried it out for the first time a few... months ago and it was very good. You can't go wrong with Sam Vera. Lovely space, not too loud, great balance of not too formal and not too casual, and friendly,... professional, attentive service that feels like old friends. Their Chicken Francese is my absolute favorite anywhere in thearea. Been coming for years. Reliable and always look forward to returning. As a guest of a loyal customer I was mortified at how the maitre d treated us. We can start with one of the appetizers never... being brought out. Then the food was not hot and I get it they are very short staffed but the kicker here was when they put atable next to us to accommodate a larger group and realized there wasn?t enough room for them to sit the maitre d just reachover us and started moving our table. And although he said sorry sorry sorry. I think that was so disrespectful. This couldhave been tolerated if he had come over and said I?m sorry but can I move your table over a bit to make room. By the way movingour table only succeeded at putting us on top of the patrons on the other side of us. This restaurant now list a loyal customerthat was there almost every Saturday and often one or two days during the week. What a shame that this shows a lack of class andrespect for loyal customers.
