Haven?t had Swiss Chalet for awhile & thought to give it a try at this location. A huge but quiet restaurant...only les than 5... tables occupied for lunch....which is kinda nice. Im surprised they?re still in business. Worst food ive ever paid for. Oily and Soggy fries, cold broken down bun, fried chicken... that tasted worse than frozen food, just ate as much as my body would let me and left in a hurry after paying for THAT meal.Gloomy atmosphere especially since it was mainly empty, the staff was also rushing things for some reason (mostly emptyrestaurant). My favourite Swiss chalet location. When we went the fries were fresh which is not the case for every location. On top of that... the waiting team was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this one for a very homie feel every time. Valerie, mywaitress was very hospitable. Read more
The server an service was good. But not going back. Their cashier point of sale system asks for a tip TWICE. For some unwitting... customer they might just think they are entering it twice but they actually charge the first and 2nd tips. Good thing I caughtit and had it reversed Bad business Read more
I wish I had taken more pictures of the meal but all that I have left is the gravy. I ordered pick up, the guy at the counter... was friendly and efficient. The chicken and back ribs were fairly juicy. I'll definitely order again in the future. Read more
My family and I decided to do take out today. I ordered through the app. The app was very user-friendly. I have used it multiple... times in the pass and always satisfied. As satisfied as I am with the app, we were pretty disappointed with the pick up andfood received experience. My husband did the pick up and he said it was very disorganized and not enough employees at thecounter. He saw a lot of staff just wondering around when there was a line of people waiting to be serviced. As for the food,this was by far one of the worse we have received ever from Swiss Chalet. The chicken was dry and missing it's famous chickenskin. It's one of the things we look forward to when eating Swiss Chalet chicken. My ribs where cold. My baked potato came emptyeven though I requested sour cream and chives. My side of fries came in a half filled container. I requested butter for mydinner rolls and ketchup for my fries and neither was included. My dinner roll also received cold. I had to reheat all my food.I also live only 5 mins away from this location. It our go to location for a long time. I am just super disappointed with myoverall experience this time around. I do not usually give 1 star ratings but if this is the kind of service we will begetting, Swiss Chalet will not be a go to place for us in the near future. Read more
Best Swiss Chalet in the GTA in my opinion. We always dine-in and never have had an issue with our meals or staff. Staff is... always friendly and even when they are very busy, there never seems to be a long wait. We typically get Kitty as our waitress,she is great! And the food always tastes amazing! Thank you! It's been a long time since we visited because we seem to have mediocre experiences here. They must be under-staffed because I... would expect a hostess to be scheduled on a regular Friday night during peak dinner service time (there wasn't one even on BlackFriday when people are out and everything is packed). We waited several minutes for the poor servers to seat us. Our server tookour order reasonably quickly considering she had many tables. The food came without much wait and tasted good (white meat isslightly dry). My order was incorrect, but it was a minor issue of making my food with white instead of dark meat; I wasn't ableto change it though because the server did not return for a quality check. My husband had to drink my water since nobody came torefill his drink. I think if they had more staff, people would have better experiences. Read more
