Ventured out to the East side, saw some yelp reviews and decided go try for lunch, hidden in an interesting building complex... with covered roof and interior path to each store front so its kind of dim inside. Its interesting that you can create your ownlunch combo and the menu has lots of choices. I ended up getting the sushi set and was very fresh and service was great. Read more

First time visiting this place. Overall, food quality & freshness was pretty good. However I can't give 5 stars for couple of... reasons. 1. Wherever I go to sushi place, I usually order mixed tempura with substitution of squash for veggies portion. Ifthere is any additional charge or don't even allow to have substitution, I do understand because its their store policy. When iasked server, server told me because the squash is most expensive veggies they can offer only 3 pieces of it and which wasunderstandable. I thought I'll get 3 piece of squashes and 2 random pieces to make 5 vegies(mixed tempura comes with 2 shrimps &5 veggies). But nevermind, i received 2 pieces of shrimp and only 3 squashes. They dropped 2 pieces to compensate the pricedifference of veggies (seriously? Squash is that much more expensive? I think you better charge extra $ instead of dropping thepieces. And this 2. 1 long hair found from my sushi. I have pretty strong stomach but no thanks. There was nice gesture tooffer 10% off from the bill because of the hair. Great Japanese restaurant tucked inside a plaza. The soup and salad were very well prepared and presented. The sashimi selection... was your standard fish you would get at any other restaurant. Overall, I would recommend this place and the quality was veryfresh. Read more

Hidden in a small plaza, it's a good option for fresh, basic sashimi. Rice was seasoned a little too much on the vinegar side... for my preference. Service was very friendly. Read more
Wonderful service, excellent and fresh fish. The house salad sauce was very tasty, green tea authentic and fresh steeped, and... rolls properly sized and cut perfectly. The sashimi platter we had was lovely, as was the ambience. Wish it was closer tohome. We'd be regulars. Read more
