Demetres Downtown Markham is one of my favorite dessert places. Bright, clean and spacious. Great ambiance. Love their stylish... decor and interior design. Their architectural arrangements, bold flower wallpaper and matching pastel furniture are absolutelystunning. Great customer service. The server was welcoming and courteous. Their menu was very cute. We ordered their 10 scoopsof ice cream dessert and shared with our party of 7. It was not disappointed. Well presentation! Their americano was also great.Strongly recommend to those chocaholics. My fav go to place for dessert! always came here for their honey vanilla ice cream and waffles. literally one of the best ice... cream I ever tried in Toronto. Great desserts. It's pricey for dessert but you get your value because of the large portions. "One scoop" of ice cream is more... like 2.5 scoops, so you really don't need any more than one scoop. The atmosphere was fantastic! The staff were very friendly. The service was excellent. The desserts were amazing! The vibes were... relaxing. A great family friendly atmosphere. Went for desserts with my family on a busy Saturday. We had to join the waitlist but thankfully we didn?t have to wait too long... to be seated. We ordered a variety of desserts. My personal favourites were the matchamatics, matcha say, and the puddin on theritz. As you can tell, I love matcha. All the desserts were presented well and tastes really good. Maybe because it was reallybusy but the ice cream scoops were smaller than usual and the Belgian waffle was not as crispy. The desserts were yummy. They took our order and gave us our desserts fast but when it came to getting the bill it was like... pulling teeth. There were 4 tables at once waiting for the bill. It was hard to get the waiter's attention. We sat for at leastanother 20-30 minutes after finishing waiting for the bill. They probably needed more staff that night. Read more
Upon entering, first impressions were definitely everything! The decor is absolutely stunning - from the architectural... arrangements, to the bold flower wallpaper, to the matching pastel furniture. Such an Instagram-worthy spot, minus the oldschool carpet which was a little out of place. Since the menu is the same across all locations with the same prices, you mightas well pay this location a visit for the ambience. Service wasn't anything to rave about but was quite good. We were seatedwith menus and water and given ample time to review the menu before ordering so there was no rushing. Everything also came outcorrectly as ordered, with the beautiful plating as you'd expect for this price point and came out in a timely manner. Asalways, portions were huge and perfect for sharing. Taste-wise, things were spot on as well. Place was overall kept clean, nocomplaints there. Some tables could have been better distanced in my opinion; but I did like the area we were seated which wasall the way in the back, half booth and half chairs. Have not been here since the pandemic. Good to know that some things except the price never changes. The scent of waffles and... sugar and spice is heart warming. Decor is cute. Ice cream is as decadent as ever. Service was a bit slow and scattered.Extremely busy at 9pm so expect a bit of a wait to be seated and even waiting for the dessert to be made. Read more
