Reviews for Wooden Pickle in Marion, VA
While seeing the restaurant many times while driving thru town, we decided to give it a try, Oh boy!! Was it it delicious!!!!!... We chose to sit outside and enjoy our food, which was a pleasure. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, the restaurant was cleanwith a great atmosphere. While waiting we seen a cat laid out under some cars, thinking for sure it was in trouble i jumped upto save the day!!! Come to find out this is ?Mr. pickles? The neighborhood town cat and he was just being lazy sun bathing. Weenjoyed our food down to the last bite and ordered dessert afterwards. This place is absolutely wonderful and would recommend itto anyone wanting something good food! 5 stars in my book! Will definitely be back again. Read more
It is a very rare occasion that I have food that touches my soul the way it did at The Wooden Pickle. By far, the best food in... Marion and I should go on to say the best I?ve ever had in my life!!! It?s is easy to find food that will fill your stomach; itis not so easy to find food that fills your soul. I don?t wanna leave. On the second leg of our trip home to Alabama after visiting New York, my young navigator identified a place RIGHT near highway... 81 called The Wooden Pickle, in Marion, VA. Well, my decreased ability to drive such long distances just paid off - we?d neverstopped in Marion before. And I am adding The Wooden Pickle to our list of places to stop in our future interstate travels forsure! SUPER easy to get on and off the highway from here, in a sweet little downtown Main Street area. Funky and local. Themenu is huge! Good classic rock playlist while we have been here. Beer, cider, wine. Food came out pretty darn fast. My son,who grew up in NJ and NYC, says the mozzarella sticks taste like they came from a GOOD pizzeria in New York. Sweet Potato friesappetizer is HUGE, they?re delicious, and come with barbecue sauce. I had never thought to dip them in barbecue sauce before -TASTE SENSATION! I got Turkey Avocado BLT for my entree and I got it with a side of Asparagus, which was grilled to PERFECTION,according to me. The sandwich is huge, very warm and totally delicious. I could only eat half. The tomatoes and lettuce are sofresh. Bacon not crispy-burnt, but not mushy. Avocado the perfect ripeness. Turkey a mile thick. Bread seems fresh baked, notcheap/institutional. In the future, I may get off the road early just to come here. Read more

We stopped at this cute little place as we were passing through the area on a road trip. It had a great vibe and the server was... as friendly as could be. These 2 ladies were running like crazy, and still managed to smile, be patient, and friendly. Theburger was so delicious I failed to get a picture! Read more
Excellent service, great ambiance. They do have vegetarian options! I recommend the portobello mushrooms sandwich. It was... superb. I do not recommend the margarita flat bread. It was bland. Great beer selection and phenomenal fries, specifically theones as appetizer. The restaurant is accesible :) Read more

We checked out this neat little gem in the downtown area of Marion. I got the cauliflower Buffalo chicken pizza, it was pretty... tasty. My hubby & boys got burgers. They really enjoyed them too. They had a lot on the menu but were out of corn tortillaswhich was disappointing because I wanted to try the Mai Mai tacos. I am gluten free so I opted for the pizza instead. Theserver was so friendly and helpful navigating through the menu. We finished lunch with the peanut butter pie, the boys seemed toenjoy it leaving no crumb on the plate. Read more
