The turtle races are real!!! If you've seen the sign you know. The bar is spacious and clean and the crowd is upbeat and... lively. They have bar food but the beer is top notch and flowing. The only downside is one out of their control: the homeless. The unhoused will mingle and ask for money when you leave and sometimes its funny sometimes its scary. I say go here in groupsfor safety. Brennan?s is my favorite bar in Los Angeles for the following reasons: 1. Large patio with plenty of seating options 2. Corn... hole on above mentioned patio 3. Designated parking lot & plenty of street parking on Lincoln 4. Friendly bartenders &bouncers 5. Great variety of beverages, including an array of my current bar favorite, hard seltzers in cans 6. Nostalgic -they?ve been there for 50 years! 7. Takes holidays seriously and knows how to throw a solid theme party - the best place for St.Patrick?s Day hands down 8. This place is great! The staff is super nice, both at the bars, food servers and security! Plenty of bar bites to choose from... (good quality considering it's a bar) and a variety of drink options (liquor, beer, wine, sodas etc) all at a reasonable price.The turtle race on Thursday is a lot of fun with the betting proceeds going to charity. Spinning the wheel for gag prizes (ie:free pizza, t-shirt etc) is a blast. Only downside is parking can be tough if you arrive past 7 pm. Regardless, i recommenddropping by. I'll be back real soon! Went for turtle races and had to wait in line for 20+ min. Not worth it. The place was empty inside but yet were only letting a... couple people inside at a time to not ?overwhelm? the bar and kitchen. If a place that big can?t accommodate for the guest sizethey can hold, that?s a problem. I didn?t even go to eat or drink! Instead of being able to spend the 30 min inside with friendsI was waiting in a stupid line and could barely see the title races inside. Not worth it Read more
Came to Brennan?s last week since before corona and it?s always a treat. The patio is enormous and the drinks are reasonably... priced. The food on the other hand is your standard bar food except the pizza. The pizza is damn good. I got the boneless hotwings and loaded tots this time and neither were anything outstanding but for the wings you get a LOT. Not sure if they havehappy hour right now but that?s always a good deal and great time to come. The bartenders are awesome and harshly over worked sobe kind and tip them well! Great Huge, divey sports bar. Excellent back patio, one of the biggest I've been in. Was a rainy night and I still had a decent... time watching football out back and enjoyed getting wet. Highly recommend if your in the area to have a drink, socialize and/ orenjoy sports. Did not try the food so I couldn't attest to it. Read more
