This place is fantastic. The chef/owner and his wife are fabulous people. They make you feel like you're party of the family. We... were there when they opened and frequent this fine establishment still. The food is always superb and atmosphere is welcoming. Read more
A great view of the river, good selection of local wines and fine dining choices make The Levee House a nice choice for a... special dinner. I had blackened Mahi mahi with sweet rice, and it was fantastic. Treat yourself to a visit here, you won'tregret it. Read more
Visiting from out of town and came here on a recommendation from some locals. The staff was super friendly and very helpful... giving us great ideas on things to do and see around town. Our waitress seemed to really enjoy her job and was very nice to talkto. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were more than generous. We will definitely be back if we findourselves back in the area! Thanks again! Read more
Best restaurant in the Marietta/Parkersburg area. Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant purchases food, wine and better... from local sources. We enjoyed our entrees: salmon and soft-shell crab with fresh asparagus and potatoes. Salads and breads wereall fresh. Great views of the beautiful river. Great place. Read more
Weve been wanting to try Levee House Bistro since they opened. We finally did last night and we were definitely not... disappointed. The Mushroom Risotto w/ Shrimp was a flavor explosion. Delicious sauce on perfectly cooked risotta, mushrooms, spinach and fresh tomatoes. The Mediterranean Cod was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Congratulations Thomas onbringing a much needed niche of fine dining to Marietta. Thomas has a knack for flavor combinations that we rarely experience. Our waitress was very sweet and Casey coming around to chat was a real treat. Delicious fine dining experience right on thelevee. To start off the food was amazing. All the workers were very polite and friendly. The prices are a little up there but for an... occasional splurge it's a great choice. Most meals were in the $18-$25 range with the specials between $45-$55. This is not ournormal price range for dinner dates but we will definitely be returning and bringing some family with us. Amazing food! We had the strawberry spinach salad and I absolutely loved it. For appetizer we had scallops with a blueberry... sauce. Some of the best scallops I've ever had, tender and delicious and the little bit of blueberry sauce with each bite wasamazing. For dinner I had the crab cakes with mixed vegetables and yellow Yukon potatoes. Most restaurant's side vegetables arejust blah and lying there. These were some of the best stir-fried vegetables from a restaurant we have had. My crab cakes weremoist on the inside not overcooked and came with a Chipotle sauce which really highlighted the crab cakes. My husband had an oldfavorite of the Levee House, the chicken and pea pasta. And it did not disappoint. We were hearing raving reviews from all thetables around us about their food. We highly recommend trying out the new Levee House bistro. Read more
The service level at the Levee House Bistro was excellent. Our sever was friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The... food was very good as well as the desserts. Only constructive feedback I would give is I cannot understand how the house saladis 5.00 and the Caesar salad is 9.00? That is way overpriced at 9.00. Same with the desserts. Most were in line with otherestablishments. However a small serving of Creme Brulee at 9.00 seems too high. The other desserts I could see. That one shouldbe around 4.00-5.00 in my opinion. But we did enjoy our experience and will be back. Read more
