I chose this place based on it being convenient to our Air BNB. It was really really delicious. The food came out hot, fresh and... just the way I requested. I love diners. Our server was also very nice. She was helpful and brought everything, but didn?toverly engage and become annoying. She was the perfect balance. I wish I remembered her name. Read more

I've eaten here many times and am impressed with the consistent quality and cleanliness. The skillets, omelettes, and sandwiches... are all tasty, clearly made with quality ingredients. Pro tip: if you are in the mood for an adventurous, delightfully spicyfusion dish ask for the Thai Skillet. It isn't on the menu, but is near perfect. Think layers of hash browns, grilled chicken,Thai curry, cheese, peanuts, and over ready eggs. Scrumptious! You can order it with or without hot Thai peppers. Read more

Friendly service and great food! I highly recommend the #3 combo. It has a fried green tomato and bacon on a fantastic fresh... baked biscuit with pimento cheese. It was amazing! Oh, and it came with eggs, hash browns, and pancakes too. The place wassuper clean and they had great tables (no booths). It is only open until 2pm, but they serve breakfast the whole time. Theyalso serve lunch and dinner too if you're looking for something else. We will definitely return! Read more

I used to really like this place, but it seems like they have fallen on hard times lately. I was told the servers all quit... because they were not making enough in tips. The food is just OK now. The breakfast was decent, but prices are up and portionsare down. The coffee is $3 a cup and it used to be excellent. Now its just plain awful. I feel for these folks as it seems to bea mom and pop type spot. Shame really. Read more

As others have said, Windy City Grill is a hidden gem. Finding a good brunch spot that uses quality ingredients and doesn't cost... an arm and a leg can be a challenge, but WCG checks all the boxes of a traditional diner: friendly owners and employees, a wideselection of breakfast and lunch options, quality dishes that are home made with quality ingredients, and all at an affordableprice. Today I had the combo #3 (pictured below) and, as always, everything came out looking picture perfect and tasted evenbetter. The blueberry pancakes, prepared by co-owner Maliha, are the best pancakes I've ever had. My server Kayla was veryattentive and made sure I had all the condiments I needed as well as asking if I would like a drink to go. This is a smallfamily owned establishment and you can feel that as soon as you walk in the doors. In the recent months they have had toincrease some of their prices due to inflation and food costs but it's worth every penny. I will say that of you intend to bringa large group to CALL AHEAD. Typically there are only 1 or 2 employees working the floor so on busy days you can expect a smallwait but the food and service will overshadow the 10-15 minutes you have to wait to enjoy a delicious meal. Nice menu. Great looking food. Poor customer service with consensus that " Hospitality Mentality " is totally lacking from... guests in our party up and down the East coast. Doubtful any of us would return or recommend. Read more

5 adults, 1 child for lunch, we ordered a BLT, a shrimp BLT, a hamburger and a hot dog. We .also ordered a gyro and a gyro... salad, there wasn?t hardly any meat on either (maybe 2oz), we asked for more meat and then he tried to charge us! We had 3 teasand a sprite and our bill was $99.79. And did I mention they add 18% gratuity ?because they?re short staffed?! Oh and if youuse your debt card they charge you another 2%!!! So our total was actually $101.74!!!!! DON?T waste your time or $!! Read more
