My daughters and I were looking for a new BBQ place to try today. We looked at Lockdown BBQ, but when we saw reviews on Willie... Jewels, we decided this was the place to try. My youngest got her usual chicken tenders and hushpuppies. My oldest got what shethought was a pork plate with sausage and fried pickles(turned out to be a huge sandwich with cheese. I got the 3 meat sampler,Ribs, Brisket(wet) and Sausage with Fries and Corn nugget. Let me tell you the look on my oldest face when her meal arrived.Everything came out piping hot and extra delicious! I have been searching for a place that would rival True Texas Brisket andthis place took me back to my grandmother's backyard on a spring afternoon with lemon sweet teas, fajitas and Brisket! I ordered the beef Brisket with a side of macaroni and cheese and baked beans all of the food was mediocre at best the brisket... had a nice smoke ring and crust but the meat itself, was bland. Try stuffing the brisket with garlic Or some injections. Themacaroni and cheese just tasted like regular pasta. I wish I could taste some cheese for how much money I paid. The baked beansjust tasted like a regular can of baked beans-- even though I did see some strands of some type of meat and onions. Overall: Ican see why the place was not busy. Brisket sandwich was delicious, very thick with lots of burnt ends. Sassy sauce made it taste even better. The Mac n cheese was... excellent and it tasted good warmed up later as leftover. I am working near by, and drove by this place. I have been curious to try some good barbecue food. Finally, I made my way to... this place. The customer service is amazing. I worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years, and I can assure you this girl,so sorry, I forgot to ask her, her name, is top rate customer service! And the food, turkey and brisket, ( so so tender) and thebaked beans (loved it). Unfortunately, I will be leaving this area soon, but when I work near by again, I will stop in! Stopped at Willie Jewell's and ordered a whole chicken to pair with sides I'd prepared at home. Paid $15, but it was worth it!... Seasoned well, tender, with good smokey flavor! Read more

Great ribs and friendly service. Could be a 5 star BBQ place but I have to go back a couple more times to be sure. :) Update;... I'm changing my rating to five stars after going back again and the barbecue was better than the first time. Five stars forcertain. Read more
