The chicken roti had lots of slow cooked meat, potatoes, and chickpeas. Four stars because the roti skin was grainy and dense.... The curry flavor was also a bit too strong, like you could taste the powder itself. Sorrel was great, not too sweet! Read more

I've been to Tassa's Roti Shop fairly often for food and it's been great but NEVER have them cater for any of your events. I... placed a large order for an event at my home; called in advance and told them exactly what I wanted. The lady read back my orderto me at the end, even charged me more than what's listed on their website as they indicated prices have changed. On the day ofpickup what I ordered and what they gave me did not match. I ordered doubles, none spicy, as many of my guests don't eat spicyfood. They sent me half sweet and half extra spicy doubles; half warm and half cold roti skins. Pretty much whatever they hadleft back from that day they sent to me whether I ordered it or not. Then told us that the person who makes what we orderedisn't there so we pretty much had to take whatever they had. Great place for a meal, not a place for catering. Read more

Not bad. Small portions, but overall good food. Prices seemed reasonable. Parking is interesting. The restaurant is off a major... street, and packing is in the back of the restaurant. There's a one-way entrance. No military discount and the explanation ofwhy was hilarious. I'd go back to try another dish. The restaurant has a family homestyle feeling. Read more

I love that they?ve got huge Trini and American flags outside of this place because without it it would be challenging to find... this spot. The reception was unfriendly, a smile and good customer service goes a long way, they need to work on that but thebus-up-shot (broken up roti) and curry shrimp I ordered were AMAZING!!!! I was raised around Trinis and Guyanese Grannies???? The shrimp wasn?t over cooked and my roti was fresh and flaky I absolutely enjoyed this. I paid 17$ for the roti and adoubles, which is definitely overpriced but I will be back because of the taste. Read more
