WOW!!!! The capozzi combo is crazy good. I just can't tell you how amazing that was. And the darn thing was at least 9 to 12 lbs... , so if 28 bucks for a pizza sounds like a little steep its just not since that pizza is equal to 3 normal pizzas but tastes wayway better!!!! Read more
This is not a review of the pizza. I repeat--this is NOT a pizza review. I ordered the lasagna, and even after a long commute... across Atlanta in traffic, it was still piping hot and delicious. I've been in Atlanta for a LONG time, transplant from Bay Ridge Brooklyn. This place is the REAL DEAL. I have been here about 10... times, some solo for pizza...others having a full dinner with my girlfriend. NEVER had a bad experience. The food is PERFECT,staff friendly. Best veal parmigiana I?ve ever had. They are the nicest people you will ever meet. Any one posting less than 5 stars are crazy.... They are certainly New York style. I?d take a picture of my pizza but I just eat it right away. This time I tried the vealparmigiana and it blew me away! Anything I?ve had before this was a massive disappointment in comparison. This Capozzi's location has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Atlanta area for over a decade. The staff is always... friendly (and willing to discuss Pearl Jam). I highly recommend ordering pizza by the slice rather than a whole pie. Theirsausage and peppers with angel hair is a delicious treat. I dig the restaurant's authentic, relaxed atmosphere. Read more
Update 6/04/22 Got a cheese pizza with extra sauce. The sauce on their Pizza is always a perfect amount but today was just in... the mood for a pizza swimming in sauce and it's delicious! Edit a few minutes later: I called them up they remade the pizza thepizza the new pizza that is is perfect! It's a good day! Apparently I've been given lightly cooked pizza before in the past anddidn't know that it was a style and was upset the first pizza wasn't that way since it's what I was used to. I'm sorry.6/22/2021 As of 6/22/2021 I usually like the pizza at capozzi's and is normally my favorite but today the pizza was wayovercooked the crust is hard and crunchy, the cheese is overcooked and it's difficult to eat. NOT New York style! First time trying at Capozzi's pizza. We were very excited to try based on the rave reviews but were... disappointed greatly! It was not even close to New York style pizza, which is supposed to be thin, crispy, and foldable withflavorful sauce. We tried the Manhattan pizza. It was really good to look at, but the crust was thick and had zero flavor...noteven salt in it. It felt like cardboard. The sauce taste was nice but needed more salt, again. The pizzas at other chains aremuch more flavorful, soft, and half the price in comparison. Not sure about where these rave reviews come from, lookssuspicious! Read more
Tried there Bacon, Tomato, Ranch Pizza slice of the day. It was delicious. Had to sit down and order their fried zucchini with... marinara sauce. Also ordered their house salad with the creamy garlic sauce. Seth was a very generous host / waiter. Definitelyrecommend this for your next pizza craving. Read more
