This place is amazing! We got the chicken biscuit meal and the tacos meal to go with potatoes and grits. The grits were... phenomenal - haven?t had such good grits in a long time. The chicken on the biscuit was also HUGE. What a big fillet. We thenwent downstairs to doughnuts and dollies. We got a hibiscus and a birthday cake doughnut and molasses cookies. They were allsuper fresh and tasty. We used to go to sublime all the time to get doughnuts, and swore it was the best. I?d say this place iseven fresher and less crazy busy! There are a few locations, definitely don?t pass up trying it since both locations that I knowof are pretty tucked away (Marietta & Howell Mill). Also - got a latte at Canvas too while there and it was really good. I gotand iced lavender latte with Oatmilk. Not many coffee spots I go to have lavender as an option, so I always love when I see it. Read more
Canvas is a cafe with a nice menu. I ordered the breakfast tacos but without the flour tortillas making it gluten-free. Those... breakfast tacos were DELICIOUS. But the breakfast potatoes were just okay. The oat milk latte was also okay. Service was good. Read more
I really wanted to like this restaurant as it was sooo cute and the display of goodies looked delicious. They took my name and I... waited about 15 minutes and finally asked how much longer? The girl said, Your bag is over there and pointed to a bunch of bags?I found it and of course my sandwich and fries were cold. What was the purpose of asking for my name if you weren?t going tocall out to me when it was ready, fresh and still warm?! I gave a good tip and wish now that I hadn?t! -5 Stars for thisrestaurant! Wonderful Café with southern style entrées and various java and tea servings, and I believe ALL DAY BREAKFAST! I had the... "Doughboy" breakfast entrée and it was a southern grandslam with three meats, cheesy eggs, creamy-cheesy grits and heartypotatoes. The French toast slice was so thick I couldn't believe it when it was brought out and it had a subtle lemony zest thatwas very unique and pleasant. The cafe is very clean and spacious. The cashier at the counter was pleasant and welcoming. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese... sandwich on a bagel along with a cup of coffee. The coffee was amazing and the sandwich was decent. I would return to try someof the other menu items for sure. Read more
Friendly staff and excellent food. I ordered the avocado toast and poached eggs. It was simple but so very good. I love cooked... tomatoes and the potatoes were great. My daughters fries were piping hot and seasoned well, I may have procureda few, lol. Sheenjoyed her sandwich but preferred the one on sourdough my sister ordered.???? $18 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup!! I get that everyone?s jumping on the Covid bandwagon to increase prices, whether... they need to or not, but being charged $18 AND asked if I want to tip on top of that?ummmm, no thank you. Won?t be back. I?drather throw away my hard-earned dollars on something more valuable. I felt rather taken advantage of today. Oh, and my orderwas just sitting on the counter and no one called out my name. Why ask for names if the chef is just going to set it down andwalk away?
