I highly recommend! I came for a little sat morning breakfast. I was blown away by the southern hospitality! The staff was so... attentive and sweet. I didn?t catch the server name but she had cherry earrings (she was so nice). The food was delicious. I hadthe French toast with fried chicken, scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. The chicken was so juicy and cooked to perfection.Overall a great experience. I will be back for sure! Read more
Great home cooking style of southern food :) Reminds me of recipes my grandma used to make! The staff is super friendly and the... coffee is local and fantastic. The food sits very heavily in your stomach and is a little too salty for me. A little pricey forno table service but I go here whenever I have friends in town. It's always busy and very consistent. OWNER please see footnote. :) Great food at fair prices. I came on an non-busy Friday for lunch at lunch time. I got the fried... chicken blue plate with fries and side salad and cornbread. That, a drink, plus 18% tip was all only $16. The portions were verydecent for lunch - I surely didn?t leave hungry nor finish every bit of food on my plate. You won?t find better for cheapernearby that I?m aware of. There certainly aren?t many options on the menu, but I think it is a fair trade off and the quality isthere. I could tell there was great care in prepping the foods. Nothing was bland, and I liked their creative Smokey flavorwith the white gravy, although I wasn?t too sure of it at first. Their blue cheese dressing definitely didn?t taste ?straightout of the bottle?. It was really good. The staff were very nice and food came within 10 minutes. Although, I do wish I hadbeen checked on at least once and had someone to tell me, ?have a good day? on my way out, but life isn?t always perfect. I?lldefinitely be back! Great place for brunch! The food was great and it was at a good price. The specialty pancakes were delicious! We had their Oreo... pancakes and shared them as a table and it was great for everyone to share since it?s basically dessert! I had the fried chicken breast plate, and also an order of biscuit & gravy with sausage and egg. The food was good - but not... outstanding. Of course frying chicken involves oil, but somehow other diners manage to prepare it without the end result beingthat greasy. Maybe some folks prefer it that way, so I won?t hold it against them too much. If you prefer your coleslaw extrasopping wet creamy, then you?ll probably like it more than I did. I prefer the dry variety, but again you might actually likeit. But the real disappointment was an 8% charge for ?Paper & Plastic Goods?. I ordered it to go, so it was bagged with napkinsand plastic utensils, but still I can?t recall seeing a similar charge from other diners. I don?t think it?s common. Also, therewas a $1.20 ?Delivery Fee? added to the total. In all fairness, I did eat the food outside on the patio, so they did walk it outthe front door. I don?t recall other places charging extra for patio service, but I?ll leave it up to the reader to judge basedon your own experience. So, all things considered, I rated this 3 stars out of 5.
