Valarie has amazing customer service! I love the way she remembers me and service is always efficient. I love the food... especially the soups. I really enjoy my experience coming to this 5 star restaurant. The manager always comes out to greet us.Valarie deserves a raise! I love the ambience and it is kid friendly. Ricarena in Margate. Been about six months since we?ve last dined here, and the food is as good as ever. They?ve redecorated by... removing all the vestiges of the old diner, so it looks more open. Absolutely try ?Ceviche de Chicharrones,? which is friedpork belly with onions and a spicy dipping sauce, the Lechon Asado, which is dripping with juice and garlic mojo, the LomoSaltado (Peruvian Chinese steak), and the all-day breakfast items such as the tostones with bacon, eggs, and guacamole. It?sheavy-duty pan Latino stuff from Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Peru, and other places ? Chef Jose knows how to cook it all. It?snot light cuisine, so you?d better come starving. I was visiting this area for 5 days to attend a wedding. 2 of those days I ordered from this place thru doordash. The food was... so good on doordash that before I left to head back to the airport, I decided to go in person to have my last finally mealbefore leaving FL. When I tell you I was in heaven, this food is amazing. I mean the pics speak for itself. The only reason wespent a lot of money is because we had a 3 course meal. I had high hopes for this place. Went on a Saturday night for dinner. They do karaoke on Saturdays. The music was so loud, you... couldn't enjoy your food, I don't mean just loud, I mean ridiculously loud, I couldn't here my wife talking to me and she wassitting right next to me. The servers had to yell at the customer and the customers yelling back, it was insane. It was emptyfor a Saturday and I can guarantee thats why!!! Then we got our food and it was barely edible, no flavor, the aji tasted old andhad no spiciness!!! We had to eat somewhere when we left here. I definitely won't go back to this place. Read more
This is best latin place you will find in the area! Being from Colombia, I often crave some good latin food and this place hits... the spot! There's plenty of parking available around the area and in the parking garage. Once you enter the restaurant you willbe pleasantly greeted by the staff. Ana, our server on my last visit was so nice and passionate about the food but everyone onstaff including the chef is very nice and helpful. The menu includes some of the most popular items from many latin countries Puerto Rico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba. My go to order is the pargo rojo - whole friend snapper. While theportions are huge and easily shareable, it's so tough to only order one item because everything looks so freaking good! Thefried plantain layered with shredded chicken and the chorizo mixto appetizers are great and perfect to share with a group ofpeople. I have no complaints on anything I've had, even the side salads that come with some of the entrees have a really tastydressing. The arepas are perfectly cooked and not overly dry. I've tried their custom bowls for lunch time which range from$10-$11 and the chicken is perfectly cooked with great seasoning. Tip: I often use a side of chimichurri sauce to go with thefried plantains. They have an everyday happy hour for drinks from 1pm to 7pm for 1/2 off cocktails and beers. Probably one ofthe better deals in this area. They also have Monday-Friday happy hour for food from 3pm to 7pm which is longer than your usualhappy hour here so I will be heading over here more often. Thanks Ricarena for being the best! A great selection of columbian food. Loved the blackberry drink and the lomo saltado.
