I had a great time playing music at Korals for the very first time on Saturday Oct 9th, the crowd was so fun, and Jen was... celebrating her 50th birthday, awesome. I can see that your staff is top notch, a great crew at a wonderful JW Marriott. Thefood & drinks looked amazing. Thank You all for a very nice evening. - Boyd Baker Music Read more
This place is great! We had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic. Our sushi tasted very good and fresh (i?ll add pictures)... and although the selection isn?t huge, it is good enough for a bar. There was enough for us to choose from as a family of 4 andwe all enjoyed everything. I recommend the Miso Soup, we all got one of those and it was very good. We eat a lot of sushi andknow what?s good and bad, and this place was definitely a good one. This place deserves at least 4 stars, we were a littleskeptical when we saw it only had 3 but everything was great. Fairly reasonable priced, it is a resort after all. Wouldrecommend!! Read more
Kevin, the bartender, and manager know how to do customer service!!! We ate dinner and had GREAT sushi ( Island roll & spicy... tuna roll ), along with potstickers. All yummy. We had a special request for dessert food which Kevin and the manager (Eloy)helped deliver. Thank you for the amazing customer service. Read more
Very great sushi!!! Also very good Korean fried chicken & potstickers!! We ordered the Philly Roll, The Salmon roll and added... avocado, spicy tuna roll and the sunset roll... all delicious except for the spicy tuna which is one of our regular go to rollbut at this location the spicy tuna roll tasted and smelled very fishy and we didn?t like that at all. In the beginning whilewaiting for our appetizers the server who ran our food unfortunately took it to the wrong side of the table to other people andthey started eating our appetizers so we had to wait an extra 20 or so minutes and we were starving. The sushi came out before, granted the sushi kitchen is right in the dining room and the other kitchen is a bit farther away. Other than that, ourwaitress was really nice!! This place is self seat, so just sit yourself at any clean table or stand next to a dirty table untila busboy sees you and cleans the table you claimed. I do wish they had more smaller tables so people don?t have to share the biglong tables of all the other tables are occupied. That?s the reason our food was sent to other people instead of us. Korals is located inside the JW Marriott hotel right near the check-in area. At a glance, its open floor design is open,... inviting you to come hang out to have a drink and a bite. As a JW establishment, my expectations around food and service werehigher. While the service was very good, sadly the sushi was disappointing. I came with my family for a later supper. Aconference being held there let out shortly after we were seated. The place filled up quickly. Luckily, we got our order in justbefore the rush. The staff did a great job taking our order and keeping our drinks refreshed. We started with potstickers, which were crispy and yummy. And, we ordered a range of rolls including california, shrimp tempura and island; plus, some nigiriincluding hamachi (yellow tail), ebi (shrimp), and torched salmon belly. There were two major problems with the sushi. First, the rice was over-saturated, meaning it was mushy... not far away from making congee. Second, there was way too much ricevinegar mixed into the rice. We tried to eat what we could, but the texture and vinegary flavor were so overpowering that wefinally called it quits. I had a chance to talk to the restaurant manager the next day to share my experience. He was veryreceptive to the discussion and apologized for the food. Not sure I'll give the sushi another shot anytime soon. But, maybe acocktail and some apps would be nice. Read more
Used to be amazing. Still a beautiful place, wonderful atmosphere, but you can get more Sushi options at Publix. We walked out.... 75 % of why went down there was for this place. It was the best Sushi in Florida. The last time we were there we had Sushi there3 out of 4 nights. They should close and regroup. Sad. Read more
