One star for today only. I usually love the food,and up until today have never had a complaint. Unfortunately I tried something... new. Today, a chicken salad with tomato and onion on a sub. Tooooo much mayonnaise,enough to make the chicken second banana!I Couldn't eat it. Mayo should not be the predominat food in a salad. I'll be back , but not for chicken salad! Read more
The food here is really good. The service is always good. My complaints are 1. The Order Online link on the website leads you... to OrderSnap, a service that sells Online Ordering. So... I went elsewhere that night. . 2. The printed and online menu say anItem is $10.50 but is really $13.97 - a huge mark up. I was told it was out 'outdated'.How is the print AND online menuoutdated? Why would I pay close to $4 more? I could buy all the ingredients at Crosbys and make five sandwiches for that. LOLSo... I went home. Don?t tell me the menu in my hand ?is ?outdated.? It?s time for theses places to stop saying ?everythinghas gone up, man? and find creative solutions. Invention is born out of necessity. If I could give this place a 10 star review out of 5 I would have. These folks are awesome! They went above and beyond to make... this delivery special. To make the long story short, we live in PA and today (6/7/20) would have been my nephews high schoolgraduation. To celebrate our family had a ?Zoom Graduation?. We wanted to make it special so at the last minute I had decided toorder him a pizza and have it delivered to his house. I never expected how EXTRA-special Café Vesuvius made this pizzadelivery! They accommodated my weird pizza order all the way from PA. I specifically asked them if they could write, ?HappyGraduation?? (as pictured). You should have seen his face light up on the Zoom call? ?there?s a man at the door with a pizza?. Ihope in the near future I have the opportunity to dine at this restaurant ?. The customer service is exceptional and deliverytimely. Though I did not have the chance to taste the pizza myself, judging by how quickly my nephew downed three pieces I wouldhave to concur the that taste/flavor was equally exceptional?YUM! Pizza was way overcooked. Like close to inedible. Probably would be if I wasn't so hungry. Seriously lacking in the ricotta... department. Called over 40min in advance on a Monday and had to wait for a burnt pizza. Usually much better pizza with decentservings of all additional toppings. Not tonight. I'm disappointed. Read more
This is the best pizza in Marblehead. I tried every place but this was the only one for me. New phone system is kind of wack... though. Not a big deal, but they should go back to the old one. Read more
