Reviews for Doc’s Fish Camp & Grill in Marble Falls, TX
Upon entering, no one greeted me. Someone was on the phone and a girl was behind the bar and neither of them looked up or... acknowledged me. That?s fine, I?m sure they were preoccupied. Then someone came out of the kitchen and walked right past me,still waiting at the entry podium, and no word from her either. Okay, it?s going downhill. Finally, another girl came out andasked if anyone had helped me and said she was sorry. She was very sweet! I wish I had gotten her name cause she was the bestemployee there. I was seated and got a man as a waiter. He was very blunt with no smile to his face. Apparently everyone herewas having a bad day? I get it, we all have them. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp and was so excited to try it. Theexcitement left immediately when I took a bite. The fish was thick, very oily, and the batter wouldn?t even stick to it. I?ll goout on a limb and say the oil wasn?t kept hot and too much meat was put in the fryer. I ate what I could and had to toss therest. So all in all, subpar. Better luck next time I guess. Good food and WONDERFUL service. Autumn was on her game. Refilled drinks and always smiling. Fried brussel sprouts are so good.... Cajin crawfish were good but not spicy. Stuffed crab was delicious. Read more
The food was okay, fried platter was fried as expected, the service was on point! However my gumbo I ordered was just sauce, I... barely got anything than rice and sauce. My friend's gumbo was loaded with food like shrimp and sausage (posted mine beforeeating and hers while she was eating her gumbo)? I wouldn't know cause I didn't get any. I notified my waitress and shebrought another cup of gumbo to add to my bowl....OF MORE SAUCE! ???? Really disappointing seeing I have wanted to dine herefrom visiting this area from time to time. Stopped by this seafood restaurant on a trip to Marble Falls and it was amazing! Some of the best seafood I?ve had in a while.... Everything was so light and crispy, but not oily. Even the sweet potato fries were crispy which no restaurant ever does.Definitely try it out if you?re in the area. Thank you Shelly for the great service (she was my waitress)! Read more
Great Location off of US 281 and Ranch Road 1431. Ample parking and easy to spot with large signage out front. The staff are... friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is very good. They have a bar that's separated by a hallway from the mainrestaurant. The Chef/Owner is seen roaming throughout the dining room. They have live music on the weekends and specialsthroughout the week, so be sure to checkout their website. Enjoy and Bon Appetit! ???????????? Read more

We were on an impromptu weekend in Marble Falls, so we decided to try Doc's for dinner upon arrival. The service was great, as... was the live music. The food was tasty, too, though I will say I was a bit surprised when I received my bacon-wrapped scallops. It was on a side dish plate, which seemed very small for a $25 plate. That said, I was plenty full from my dinner, and thescallops were delicious. Guess we just need to get used to higher prices everywhere --- gas. groceries, and dining out. But Idid want to mention it so future diners can take that into consideration before ordering the scallops. Definitely give Doc's atry if you're in the area. Read more
