Reviews for Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Tucson, AZ
Extremely disappointing to say the least. The food was not great at all!!! I placed an online order for pickup today. The first... plate the brisket was dry and very burnt, loaded mashed potatoes were watery with no flavor, baked beans were super hard and thegreen beans taste like faucet water. I threw $40 dollars in trash!! Also, ordered a dessert didn't even recieve that in my bag.The restaurant wasn't even busy so maybe this was an off day but i definitely won't recommend to anyone. Dickie's be better!!! Read more
The BBQ ribs, smoked, were falling off the bone delicious. The BBQ beef brisket, trimmed expertly, was sliced and tender w/a... great smoked flavor. Hot, moist and tender w/o a lot of fat. The waffle fries, breaded okra and onion tanglers were ALL freshlyfried to perfection and not greasy at all! Baked beans were good but could use a little more flavor. BBQ sauces were servedseparately and available near the soda machines in heated containers. Free scoop of ice cream in a cone - ,vanilla. Kitchenand line staff were as nice & friendly as can be. However, when you charge $5.00 for a brioche bun that is hard/stale when theprice of a bun on the Dickey Menu shows $1.00, makes everything that was good, FLY OUT THE DOOR. We were told that even thoughwe were looking at the menu online for the Dickey's in Tucson, they charge $5.00 not $1.00. This is BAD, BAD, BAD. For a TexasBBQ chain how do you get away with this? I had a great experience going to Dickeys for my first time. This lovely cashier by the name of Aryana helped me figure out what... my best pick would be. I was a little confused with the lay out at first and how to order however she really helped me on mydecision. I chose the chopped brisket and the sausage which were both really great. The food had great taste and best of all, itwas not salty. Will definitely be going there soon with the family! Read more

I have been to several locations across the US and this place sticks to the recipe. The food was fresh, and tasted amazing as... always. If you have never been to Dickeys, I would highly recommend checking them out. I prefer the 2 meat plate which costaround $13 offering two meat types, two sides, and your choice of bread. This location offered quick service with no wait. Thestaff was friendly and seemed to care about the customers. The restaurant was also very clean and tidy. Read more

Not worth the time it take to go there to eat there. Each Veterans day I do my research to find the place around Tucson that... show appreciation for the veterans that made this great country. I see that Dickey's BBQ would come up in all the places thatoffers free eats on Veterans day. I called the local restaurant on Thornydale rd, but of course they will not answer, I calledat least 4 times, then I decided to hit 2 for catering, because I knew they would answer and they did. I was told that theyare offering a free pulled pork sandwich with proof of service. I called two more time on my way to the store, and still noanswer. I drive all the way across Tucson, because I love pulled pork, and when I walk in, I am told they are not giving away afree sandwich, but they offer 10% off today! I told the guy behind the counter that I was told by Dickey's catering call, Imade that they were and he said no they only offer 10% off. I told him shame on Dickey's for not supporting Veterans and onlyoffering the average that Target and all other place offer to us Vets years around, and I left. I am pleading with the greatpeople of this nation to boy-cot Dickey's BBQ now and forever, because of the treatment of Veterans everywhere! If you justhave to have pulled pork then Famous Dave will give you a sandwich and a side FREE on Veterans Day, take that Dickey Read more
