Normally, I?ve very wary of any restaurant that uses ?World Famous? in their title. However, this time it?s deserved. I was... driving by on my way out of town when the smell of the chicken hit my nose. I HAD to have it. When I went inside there were afew people waiting for food and a few more came in after I arrived, I knew I was in the right spot. The juiciness of the chickenis unmatched. The coating on the chicken is not the regular fried chicken coating, it somehow seals in the flavor. I chose friedokra and macaroni and cheese as my sides. I?m not crazy for okra but when I?m the South, do as Southerns do. I wasn?t thatimpressed with the mac though, the noodles are more on a firmer al dente side, which FOR ME, is not a preference. Sam was our waiter and He's a money young man. Very attentive made sure we were taken care of. Great service. Food was... delicious! Everything fresh and hot right out the fryer. The baked beans were flavorful. The chicken was juicy and seasoned toperfection! Nice and crisp. Love the old music too. Large portions. My highway mowing crew decided almost unanimously to make this our dinner stop for the night. With world famous on the sign, we... had to find out for ourselves. We were greeted and seated promptly! Our waitress had fun and took great care of us. The chickenwas phenomenal! The spice is great and not too hot. Slaw and beans were delicious. Highly recommend the Chess and or ChocolateChess pie! I like the set up as soon as I walked in, its cozy. Cool pageantry all around, seems clean. I ordered the 2pc white with... mac&cheese and fries. The chicken was delicious!
