Best place in entire RI to get authentic South Indian food. Especially It?s really good for non vegetarians items.

Had been here several times for the best starters and biryani. The Chicken Biryani here is my favorite as it carries that... authenticity in the taste. If you looking for value and quality, this is the right place. Awesome Indian Cuisine. The food is great and prices are not too... expensive. This is one of the hidden gems for indian food lovers in RI. And donot let the looks of the restaurant deceive you of the... quality of the food served there. At first I was quite skepticial to try this place. The facade of the building and theconfusing interior didnt help at all in forming high first impression. It is a convenience store/deli market converted into arestaurant. The owner of this place even told that this place has convenience store license. So it all made sense, to how theplace was looking like. The menu card gave some hints of the good things to come. Menu boasts of many south indian favourites,and we tried many of them and they were all awesome. Chicken 65 we ordeded came out just like what I will expect in Chennaifood scene. Was perfect. Kothu Parota was other worldly. There is only one another place in RI where I can get Kothu Parota andChennai Tiffin is my new favorite for kothu parota. Biryani and Chettinad chicken curry both stood up on their own for theirauthenticiy and taste. Prices were reasoable and hospitality was warm. I expect in the coming months there will be moretraffic here and thereby more improvement will be done in the interior. If you like authentic south Indian food, this is a mustplace to try. Read more

After ordering takeout from here several times, I can attest that Chennai Tiffins has THE most authentic South Indian food in... the area, with an amazing variety of Chettinad specialties. Some of my favorite menu items include onion pakoras, podi idli,vegetable kothu parotta, and chettinad vegetable biryani. Very fresh, flavorful, and aromatic with a complex mixture of spices.Nice assortment of condiments (mint cilantro chutney, tamarind chutney, spicy pakora sauce, raita) as well.
