Lost Colony is excellent and a strongly recommend!! The food and beer here is amazing! I had an elk burger (shown below) which... was so delicious. Besides the burgers, the stews are phenomenal here as well. My party ordered the light (shown below) and nightflights of beer and they were all good. My personal favorites were the blonde ale and the hatteras Irish red. The service herewas great, and the server was very friendly. Our vegetarian hamburger was wonderful. It was the only vegetarian item on the menu but it was well prepared and it had a lot of... flavor. It was hard to find vegetarian food around the area so we were happy to have crossed our path with the lost colony. Thewaitress was very kind and polite. There was a local musician playing that day and he was great. Over all we really liked theplace. Even though I can only review as a vegetarian, I dare to say that the other meat items being served looked great. Read more
My other half and I came here for lunch after checking out a historic site nearby. Stephanie was our waitress. Even though she... said she usually works the bar, she did an awesome job waiting tables. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie and way too many of theRoanoke Island Iced Teas. We had a big party come in during a fairly busy time but our server was on her roll. No drinks empty and food came out around... the same time. Speaking of, so many new dishes were tried and enjoyed that day. The pie crust of my Ale pie was a bit bland orrather under seasoned but the mashed potatoes it came with was some of the best I’ve had along with the gravy. Definitely madeup for what was lacking. Our gang stopped in for a late lunch. The ladies had good Cheeseburgers & Bloody Marys. My brat was very good and the fish &... chips were the best my friend said he ever had. Amazing food! Even better service! The beer is like nothing you have ever tried before. If you find yourself in Manteo, NC, you... have to swing in for a drink and some grub.
