This is my favorite BBQ when I don't have time to do my own. For $60 my family of 3 can eat for a couple of days with one of the... family combos. The pies are great also. The only bad thing to say here is to make sure they give you your toast. Have had itforgotten a couple of times which isn't a big deal really but just make sure they give you what you order. Ordered delivery online through their website and was surprised that it came fast and was hot. Ribs and sliced brisket were... seasoned well and very tender. Culinary delight as the flavor danced in my mouth. However... 4 stars because they phone in theside. Potatoe salad = mashed potatoes with pickles. Cole slaw = chopped cabbage with watery mayo, etc. Soulman, upgrade thosesides! But I don't know about you, I eat BBQ for the meat. They score big with the meat. Will order again. Read more

For a chain bbq Soulman's is very good. They use Nolan Ryan Angus Beef and it definitely has a more elevated flavor than a... Dickey's or Spring Creek. Their sides are always good and the service is friendly. Prices are also reasonable. For brisket Ithink Soulman''s is the best chain bbq out there. Read more
Five stars is a rare rating from me, but Soulman's Bar-B-Que absolutely earns it. I was recommended this place by a co-worker... and I have to say that it was a gem of a discovery. BBQ is probably one of my favorite food groups of all time and I have triedeverything from the tried and true Texas style, to Kansas City and the Carolinas. Soulman's was a real treat. I tried a threemeat plate with Brisket, Ham and Ribs with their Ranch House Bean, Spicy Potatoes and Potato Salad. Ribs and brisket are oftenhow I judge a BBQ joint and here I was not disappointed. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, moist and had a flavorfulbark with just enough of the rub pleasantly seared to the meat. A nice, crisp bark surrounded the sliced brisket with awonderful deep smoke ring in the tender slices that were not dry at all, like so many places. The ham was even a bitsurprising. It was well textured, juicy and held a wonderful smoked flavor. What really impressed me were the sides. TheRanch House Beans had pieces of ham, sausage and brisket in them with chunks of onions and peppers. They were amazing. As wasthe Spicy Potatoes, a dish of pan-fried potatoes, peppers and onions. They have twelve different sides to choose from and theyall looked delicious, except of course for the cabbage, but that is just a personal taste for me. Apparently on Friday nightsthey have a catfish fry that really packs the place out. Going to have to return and try that out. If you are in the Mansfieldarea, you have to stop by Soulman's and give them a try. Bring your appetite, because they are not stingy with the servings andenjoy one of the Metroplex's genuine gems in BBQ faire. Read more
