Coming from out of state, we have struggled to find Mexican food that appeals to the Southern California style. While I wouldn't... say El Pollo Rico is identical to that style, they have been the only Mexican food we have had in Texas that is worth going backto a second time. Quality tasty affordable food. The drive through is a little slow, as you would expect for this type of food.Overall a good experience and we will be going back frequently! Read more

I visited the Manor Tx location around 4pm today. I spent $14 for a meal. To my surprise, the meal was ready in about 3 minutes.... I was quite suspicious that the meal took a short period of time to make. I checked it briefly and noticed a lot of vegetablesplaced on top of the most of the meal. Arrived home and upon further inspection, the fajitas and chicken looked and felt likeits been on the warmer since 12pm. The fajitas were rubbery and the chicken appeared to have shrunk. I took it back andexplained my concerns. The manager said, "The meals are made fresh when you order." I told her that my meal was ready in about 3minutes. To her surprise, she looked in disbelief. ???? I did not belief her statement, since the food appeared to lookold.. My conclusion is they were trying to sell me stale food to save cost rather then throw it away. I requested a refund andleft without incident. It is quite disgusting and with much audacity to give someone old food that can caused them to becomeill. Read more

Their whole chicken meal with 2 sides & the fixings is such a good deal. Chicken is so flavorful, tortillas are delicious, and... the green sauce is to die for! Drive thru can take long but it's worth it. Read more

We came here on a Friday night through the drive through and it took a half hour from when we got there to when we got our food.... There was a pretty long line and we ordered three menu items. We ordered the chicken gordita, chicken flautas, and chickentaco plate. I liked the chicken taco plate the best and the gordita was pretty good as well. The flautas were average. I'lldefinitely come back but just be aware the drive through is slow. Update: we came back when it was less busy and the servicewas so friendly. We got the chicken taco plate again and it was just as delicious this time. We also ordered their churros. Oneorder is two large churros. They have this super yummy filling and are the perfect amount of crispy. They are the best churrosI?ve ever had, they are so good! Read more

Came here for an early lunch and went through the drive thru. There?s a lot of gnats, and the wait was very long just for three... things but the food was really good. Their green sauce is my favorite! Added that to my Rico bowl and it made it evenbetter. Plantains taste like the frozen ones but are still delicious. Definitely will try another el pollo Rico though. Pastor Taquitos were delicious today. Little bit of a wait but worth it. I liked the red salsa for the chips and the green... salsa on the tacos but both salsas were really good. Can't go wrong for a cheap and tasty lunch here Read more

Outstanding food!! We ordered the half and chicken, the quesadilla and the loaded fries with carne asada. Although the chicken... was not cooked the way we wanted and had to send it back, the cashier was really nice and offered another chicken or anotheritem from the menu. The quesadilla was the best QUESADILLA I've ever had, and the fries were so delicious we will definitely beback and try more items. Read more
