When you are doing the circle tour of Lake michigan, and you stop in Manistee looking for something different than the usual... lakeside food, I highly recommend Taco 'Bout it. Everything on the menu looks delicious, from the burritos to the tacos to theappetizers and the drinks, it's all fantastic. I got a Margherita that had just the correct amount of tequila to give it a kick.And the view from the back seating area allows you to watch the boats going up and down the river as you enjoy your food anddrink. We also got the nachos as an appetizer which were loaded with toppings, and all of them tasted fresh and full offlavor. As for the burrito, I had to get mine covered with queso, which was fantastic. The ingredients they use in the burritoare also fantastic, and the side of black beans they give you are the best black beans I have ever had. Once I sample some ofthe other food Manistee has to offer, I will definitely be returning here as it is impossible to try everything you want on themenu in one visit. Read more
Stopped here on a Wednesday afternoon. Didn't need to wait long. Had mohitos to start with chips and guacamole. Chips were... homemade so that was good. Guac wasn't very flavorful. No queso fresco or lemon. Mohitos had very little alcohol or no freshlimes. Should have had ground up mint leaves instead of one tiny leaf. Had Dos tacos. I had the pineapple and my wife hadcarne asada. She's said hers was cold and boiled and asada at all. My pineapple wasn't spiced evenly and I ended up with amouthful of salt near the last bite. I have to say that we live near a Mexican community and are used to much better Mexicancuisine. Someone not living in such a community might not mind the quality of the food here. Read more
Wife and I visited for the first time on July 6th 2022. Seated immediately at the bar. Our bartender was great. Very friendly,... soft spoken gentleman. I ordered a regular Margherita, and my wife ordered a beer. My Margherita was brought to me and had afruit fly floating in it. I did let the bartender know, and he offered to make me a new one.. I had just removed it with myfinger, and he explained that they cut tons of fruit daily, so it happens sometimes. He offered to make a new drink severaltimes. It was fine. It was a good Margherita. We ordered chips that came with salsa, queso, and guac. It was all amazing. Thechips were fresh made, as was all the dips, and they all tasted excellent. We also ordered a quasadilla and it was good, butnothing crazy. If I had any complaint at all, I would say they could tone down the use of cilantro. They put it on everything.And while I like it, and it's common in Mexican themed food, it was a bit much. But it didn't ruin anything, it just has areally strong flavor when it's on everything. Price was decent, and you can sit and watch the river if you sit in the back ofthe restaurant. Read more
We had a fantastic lunch today! This is a rare find. They make their own chips right there. The staff, food and presentation... were all amazing. Very pet friendly with lots of fur babies, as well. Food was absolutely fabulous and the presentation of thefood was beautiful. Everyone we came into contact with was happy and polite. The owner personally stopped by to talk with us. Simple clean ingredients paired with a creative compilation of saucesand textures makes these a top 10 pick for the best tacos around! . Picture 2: Ahi Civeche. Fresh tomatoes, cilantro and limeaccompany perfectly sized pieces of fresh Ahi Tuna. A spoonful atop crispy salted chips provide a bright, clean andexceptionally delicious coastal flavor experience! As for the restaurant: The atmosphere was great. We sat in the back areawhich overlooks the water. The staff was friendly and attentive. Also, Something I normally do not mention but should in thiscase, an exceptionally clean restroom. I was honestly shocked how nice and clean this place was. Our new favorite Mexican style restaurant in western Michigan! Our server, Max was outstanding. My wife who has a seafood... allergy was fully accommodated and had her delicious entree made safely. Being Covid conscious we enjoyed the safety andambience of their outdoor patio. Best tacos ever, everything was made with care and pride. Great drink menu, my wife chose aMargarita and I a Mexican beer. This place is busy and the employees are working hard to make it a success, I highly recommendit. Read more
