Reviews for Artifice Ales & Mead in Manheim, PA
Greeted tonight by such friendly staff! Our first time here. We came because of the great reviews. We had the bulgogi egg... rolls?WOW! What flavor!!! We both had the sandwich special which was a Korean fried chicken sandwich with kimchi and srirachasauce and pickled vegetables. The fried chicken was so moist and tender. Simply delicious!! The house made chips good too! Wesaw people with other food items, and they all looked good. We WILL be back! Read more
Tried this for the first time today and we both had their chicken sandwich special, not to mention the egg rolls, the chef... should be incredibly proud of themselves because there?s none better in town!, Every single ingredient was as good, if notbetter cared for than the last, Homemade Kimchi, who does that around Here? No one! Trust me, I?m a very well known local chef,This food comes from a very talented chefs Heart!, The staff was as spectacular as the food, 10/10 all the way!!!! Can?t wait toreturn, I will be telling everyone about this special food Destination! Read more
Perfection! The meads we're outstanding and did outshine the beer, but that's fine because we love mead! The atmosphere was... invited both inside and out. A true oasis in town. The Summertime Vibes had an interesting peppery finish, but the VanillaJordbaer was simply heaven. Both dark beers (Revivified and Cunning) were simultaneously dark with a light summer flavor. Thetripel was a good rep of the genre. I can't wait to return and try more. However, next time they do a military collab, they needto include Space Force, because it's a real thing and all the Air Force guys are jealous of their cool uniforms! Read more

We came here after work for a few drinks and some relaxation. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The interior is newer with... a rustic feel to it. I specifically came for the mead since that is one of my favorite beverages. I was disappointed that theyonly had one mead out of 5 on their menu on draft in stock. Due to this they only had one mead available to make mixed drinkswith as well and it was a cherry flavored mead so your options were limited. I ended up getting a glass of a bottled mead and itwas just okay. Their food was good we had an order of the pretzels with cheese sauce. I did have their hefeweizen which wasdelicious. It was chilly in the restaurant and the fireplace was not working which was unfortunate. One of the reasons we camewas because its advertised they have axe throwing which the waitress informed us they did not. Over all I give it a 3 out of 5and if you have the option I would just go to their sister location in Lancaster city Meduselds. Read more
Beautiful brand new'er space & cool old car sitting out front. Their craft beer was a big miss for me. Sky Pyrate (pale ale) was... way off. I'm not a Mead fan, and that is their primary focus and most likely excellent. Food was great and staff was friendly. If you like mead, you're good. If you like craft beer, good luck on choices. Food was hands down the best I have had at any brewery. The beer was amazing, beer was tasty, and the people that worked there... were helpful and friendly. Cannot wait to come back and visit. Read more
Artifice is a really cool looking place and not too loud or crowded. Service was good and the bartender was nice. The meads were... decent but a bit expensive, especially considering the ABV. Also it'd be nice if they had meads canned to go. There were only 2carbonated meads in the fridge. We tried every mead on tap and from all the meads I've had in the past, these tasted like awatered down version. Take a Charm City Meadworks mead and pour half water and it'll be about the same. Lighter drinks are greatif you want hanging out and drinking longer. I'm more of a slow sip drinker, so it wasn't as enjoyable or as strong of a flavoras I was expecting. Read more
