Very delicious food BUT for the price and the wording on their website: "Choice of 2 classic meats piled high on sliced bread... and 2 sides." I expected more. Nothing is "HIGH" about the platters EXCEPT the price. Read more

Never had it before drove an hour to try and loved it. Never had pineapple in coleslaw but it really works. The sauces are ... great and the bark on the ribs was phenomenal. Burnt ends were so perfect. Read more

Cox Bros has always been a good place to go. Good food and atmosphere. Workers were nice and food came out quick! Pulled pork... and brisket were great! The chicken was a little dry and there is no option for non spiced mac and cheese for the kids. Read more

Cox has never been a more is better kind of place; they are a leave them wanting more kind of place. The food is hit or... miss?and be prepared for a lot of fat; meat could definitely use (more) fat trimming. BBQ flavors are okay; nothing terrible orgreat. I do advise skipping the bread pudding. It is visually unappealing, dry, and flavorless; there is ?sauce? (sauce tasteslike sugar but worse than that?it is grainy!!). The value is missing here. Read more

Cox Bros. has sure gone downhill. My meat, brisket and BBQ chicken both very tough. I had to add lots of sauce to get the meat... down. Sides were missing the bright flavors from a few years ago. Last time I'll be there. I guess the cost to drive to KC isworth it for good BBQ. Read more

It was delicious! I got the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich with pineapple cole slaw and Mac & Cheese. It was great with the Texas... BBQ sauce they have. The Mac and cheese had a really thin cheese sauce but it was delicious. Husband got wings, ribs, and loadedfries which were all delicious. We are picky about our ribs but these were some of the best we?ve had. They had a great smokyflavor all the way through and the sauce was perfect. We were just driving through from CO to GA so probably won?t be back butif you are in the area you should go! Read more

Really enjoyable lunch. The ordering process was quick and the huge menu on the wall makes it easy. The place smells great when... you walk in, always a good sign with BBQ! The food came out surprisingly quick but didn't look or taste "pre-made", it was hotbut not dried out. Clean place, nice folks. Read more

My fiance and I decided to try Cox Bros tonight since neither of us had ever had it! We got the 3 meat platter with 2 sides, and... ordered 2 extra sides. We were EXTREMELY disappointed in the meat. We got brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends, all of whichwere extremely dry; to the point that we didn't even finish the burnt ends, and I had to wash the pulled pork down with mydrink. It was like the meat was a day or two old, and warmed up in a microwave and got crispy and dry. Also, the portion sizeswere really disappointing for $30. We got probably 2 strips of brisket, which were all cut in half length wise making each pieceabout 3 inches long. Making it possibly seem there was more? The amount of burnt ends and pulled pork could basically be gone in3 bites each. The sides of mashed potatoes, BBQ beans, and Mac n cheese were pretty good, the fries, ehh. The place was cleanand the staff was friendly, however, we felt we wasted $30 and a night out for dinner. We will not be back. ???? Read more
