A couple turn seasons ago, my business partner dragged me in here to go over our accounting for the week. We'd been working 18... hour days, and he reasoned that we deserved a drink if we had to do math. But Auntie Mae's is for college kidsright? Wrong. We were seated in a comfy booth downstairs. The venue was very clean, the staff were inviting. The drinks werewere delicious, though I don't remember what I ordered. A quiet bunch of every-age patrons were gathered around for a moviewatching party, quoting lined, singing songs, and laughing together. It was such a great atmosphere on a weekday night. Legit bar, great selections of beers and spirits. They serve real drinks with the proper amount of real booze for an... unreasonably food price. But by far the best thing about Mae?s is the people who populate the bar, both behind the stick and onthe stool next to you. My favorite bar in the world. Locally owned by someone who legitimately cares about his employees and patrons. The atmosphere is... old school with modern people. The cocktails are thoughtfully made and delicious. Prices are affordable. There is live musicweekly as well as a very awesome trivia night. The photobooth is an amazing place to make memories.
