I called before coming to see if there was availability. I was told there was room and they do not reserve. I walked in and... noticed a round table with 6 chairs and thought perfect, cause we're a party of 6, only to find out that the guy who washesitant to greet me and my family that he would not seat us at the only available table because it was "reserved" for 8 ormore! He said he would clean the 4 top table off for me and my family????. I only hope it wasn't because my family and I areblack. Who knows?!!! I've only been in this industry for 20yrs, and mostly as a GM. I politely stated that was ok, and wewould just go to my wife's first choice of Hambone, and he said ok and smiled. Do better Read more

Super friendly staff and they know the history of the place too, withstood hurricane Katrina and has home cook food. It reminds... me of the restaurant from when I was a kid. Would I go back? Yes, I would. Would I recommend this place, Yes I have. Read more
Stopped in for a quick brunch, food was fabulous, service outstanding, and very clean.
Sat at the bar for breakfast. Cute, welcoming vibe! The waitress automatically welcomed us in, was very quick and so friendly.... She recommend the Cali omelette and it was so delicious. Loved the biscuit it came with as well. Thanks Mandes for a deliciousbreakfast and awesome service. Read more
Mande's restaurant is a comfortable atmosphere for dining in. Its uniquely decorated which makes it even more appealing. The... breakfast options range from scrambled eggs , biscuits, waffles to omelettes. The food is simple but tasteful yet not overlyseasoned. If you like a lot of taste with spices you can always add salt and pepper with hot sauce ??. Their employees areextremely polite and attentive. The restaurant's seating is spacious as well. I rate it BEST Burger on the Northshore! I love mine medium and the chef nailed it! Also ordered sweet potato fries! I tried and... loved the spinach and artichoke chip, homemade chips make it!
