I'm a little torn about this. I had a dozen chargrilled oysters that were good, but tiny. Then the blackened alligator appetizer... and grilled vegetables for my dinner. Truthfully, everything was very good, but the portions are absolutely miniscule. My wifegot a chicken sandwich and fries and the baby got a cup of red beans. Even with 1/2 price oysters and gator, we paid our $85 taband left a little hungry. So....torn. Read more

1-star Don't waste your time going there. We went in thinking it was a Mexican restaurant with the name Felix and discovered... it was a seafood restaurant. No ambience whatsoever. A very overpriced menu with tasteless food. We were shocked when we orderedthe fish and shrimp plate and the fish was served at the table in finger size fried strips of fish that look like a kid's platewith about six shrimp for over $20. The little crab cakes were $15 and tasted like nothing. They only had one waiter on duty andwe waited an extraordinary amount of time while the cook unloaded a truck in the back before we received our meals. Awesome food. We had shrimp cocktail and a bowl of gumbo and a dozen char grilled oysters water and 1 beer. The bill was $57 the... service was good left a $10 tip so on total $67. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Btw... There is an outdoor courtyardfor dining and drinks. During lunch it's not crowded at all and the music is a bit loud. Read more

I?ve been to the Felix?s in the French Quarter a couple of times, but this was my first time coming to this location. Let me... tell you: it is every bit as good as the one in the Quarter! I got the chargrilled oysters and red beans and rice, and they wereout of this world. It?s nice to know that I can get the high quality Felix?s food without the hassle and crowds of the FrenchQuarter. I will definitely be back here, and more often. Read more

Bottomless mimosas, brunch of shrimp n grits and crab cake benedict. Crab cakes had lumps of crabmeat--definitely not skimpy on... that! Shrimp were a good size and quantity was perfect.
