I suppose Amazon has put a pretty good dent in B&N's business as well an shuttering many other brick and mortar bookstores.... Unfortunately, this has also caused B&N to carry a lot less variety of printed books and materials than previously. I stoppedin here to get some maple of Europe fir an upcoming trip. I asked the person at the service desk where to look and she said "Ifwe have any, they'd be over there." Her lack of optimism told me I'd not find much - and that was true. There were few maps, andthe selection they had was spotty - like leftovers that were not on any kind of reordering schedule. Read more
This location recently ran a 4 part Dungeons and Dragons event. While I was not able to attend the very first session, both... Locke and Katarina made these sessions extremely fun in the limited amount of time we had. As a veteran player and amateur gamemaster, I feel they both did a wonderful job running games, guiding and teaching players who had never seen a character sheetwhile managing their expectations of the game. It can be tricky keeping a new players of all ages focused on the game yetpulling them away from the "I inspect the chair" moments, and they handled all the hiccups in a professional manner. At the sametime, they managed to keep the more experienced players engaged, thinking, and entertained at all points, not being afraid tomake combat hairy at times and really let the players sweat through the puzzles. Regardless if you are new to Dungeons andDragons or have been playing since AD&D, I highly recommend if you see an event here, reach out and sign up. Read more

Full disclosure, I was a manager here for four years. As a previous employee I still enjoy the store after twenty years have... passed. The staff are all friendly, helpful, and interesting to talk to. This store has a wonderful "cozy" vibe and wellmaintained product. It has held up well since it opened and is a place my family goes to regularly for all of the reasonslisted above. My kids especially appreciate how organized and clean everything is. Read more
