I have driven by this place many times over the years and finally stopped in today with the kids who were off from school. Eggs... benedict were great, corn beef hash was home made and tasty. Homefries were good but I would have preferred them to be a littlemore crispy, hash browns were decent but I did add some more seasoning to them - easily fixed. Coffee was great, veryhot/fresh, and I appreciate they used a proper sized mug like I have at home and not those little mugs so many diners have thatI need to refill 3 times. All the breakfast classics you expect including biscuits and gravy (I will try these next time) andtons of creative omelette options for you and your family to explore! Take a walk on the yellow brick road, you won't be disappointed (in my opinion). Food was amazing, everything tasted so great... I kept eating well past full. Large portion sizes. Real corned beef hash. Staff was really nice, personable, helpful. Came here based on the high rating and it lived up to the hype. The eggs Benedict I got were spot on. The sauce had a great... flavor, the eggs were the perfect runny, the ham was just thick enough and the muffin was well toasted. The house potatoes couldhave been better though. My buddy just got a side of bacon that was pretty tasty and a good thickness. This is a greasy spoonspot with decent customer service and eclectic decor throughout. Read more
The restaurant's most popular breakfast items are omlettes, French toast and egg Benedicts. I ordered a vegetable omlette and is... one of the best vegetable omlette I have every eaten. The place was meant to take you outside your world and I to a galaxy ofart by following their yellow brick road to an art gallery featuring the work of local artists. However I don't see the planexecuted well. A budgeted capital expenditure with community support may help bring their vision back to life. Modernizationof the restaurant with better ambience couple with high quality food they serve could increase the customer volume. The placeis pretty popular as I ended up showing up at 10am on a work day and the restaurant had limited seating. The service was quick,friendly and efficient. Parking is available right outside. Eclectic breakfast spot with fresh food and friendly staff. It would have gotten higher ratings except for corned beef hash was... literally just shredded corned beef and nothing else. Itsy bitsy potatoes (pea sized and maybe 6 total), no onions, no peppers,nor anything else to make it a hash. I could have just spooned it on bread and added some kraut and Swiss and called it a Ruben.Maybe they won the readers poll for something else on their menu? If so they should say for what they are known for because webase it on staples of breakfast, eggs, hash, and homefries. It was hot. It was fresh. I didn't have to make it. But awardwinning?
