I tried Hog Shack and was not disappointed. My daughter loved her pulled pork slider kids meal and thought the mac n cheese was... "totally amazing." I tried the Fat Kid signature sandwich. The pickles and avocado mixed well with the brisket but I would havepreferred a softer bread. The dirt dessert hit the spot to top it all off. Would definitely return. Read more
The Service is Absolutely Amazing! Coleslaw above perfection. I am very picky about my bbq and coleslaw. * They even... substituted the bun for me. You get 6oz of meat on the sandwich. Absolutely fantastic southern barbecue, huge portions, amazing sauces. I got the poultry platter and I couldn't finish half of... it. The turkey was my favorite, it was so juicy and flavorful. The Mac and the street corn were absolutely fantastic as well. Read more
First visit. I got brisket (fatty), pulled pork, and ribs. Cowboy beans and collard greens for my sides. Brisket had a very nice... flavor. Seasoning was not too peppery. Good smoke flavor and moist. Ribs were falling off the bone good. Pulled pork had greatflavor. Sides were delicious. I highly recommend this BBQ restaurant. Better than other local places. Give them a try! Read more
Stopped by this local restaurant. Ordered 'The Fat Kid'. An interesting combination of brisket, roasted tomatoes and avocado.... The roll sandwich roll was interesting as well. Order came out fast. A couple suggestions:. My sandwich bun was unique andgood, it was a bit on the cold side. Throw the bun on a grill for a little bit before assembling. The brisket was good, but alot of the slices were cut 'with the grain' which can make them a bit hard to eat in a sandwich. Always cut brisket across thegrain. Overall I thought the food was good and I will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu. Read more
My first visit?.Food was delicious! Portions were generous! Staff was friendly and efficient! Even got to meet the owner?s... wife who was putting in the work as well! Love that it is a local family owned and operated business! Place was clean and neatand nicely decorated. The music was great as well. I look forward to my next visit and will spread the word!
