A wonderful gem in a place you would least expect to find it. The atmosphere is mostly low-key and welcoming, while the cuisine... is elevated and well executed and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and gives off a tight knit family vibe. I havehad the pleasure of dining there on a few occasions now and each time i was greeted directly by the owner whether he was manningthe front as the host or sitting down as another diner. Each time i dine here, i am blown away by the care and exexution comingfrom the kitchen. Since i have been in the area i have yet to dine at many places that deliver on that feeling that you areeating an "elevated dish", but they have delivered every single time. We had appetizers to entrée and the food was amazing. The staff was super and friendly. The chefs and kitchen staff whip up... some excellent food. Great atmosphere. The owner was super helpful. The food was excellent. It?s nice to see a place like this in Malone. You feel completely transported. Beautiful inside! I think... the service kinks will work themselves out in time. We've been excited to try Hearth of Malone for quite some time, and after finally making the trek for brunch after the... reopening, I have to be honest and say I was a bit disappointed with our first visit. I'll say first off that the food wasgood. I don't think anyone in the group had any complaints about the quality of the food. The brunch menu had a good selection,and from what I've seen of the dinner menu, I think there is something for everyone here without sacrificing quality. My mainissues with the visit were the service. A lot of it could easily be chalked up to nerves getting the best of some of the staff.Our waitress was very honest and said it was her first time serving, and you could tell she was really trying, but it felt likethe staff were a bit unprepared. Our waitress didn't know the meals on the menu, she kept forgetting our drinks, at one pointanother waiter came up and started to introduce himself thinking we hadn't been served yet, etc. I'm not usually a person tocomplain about wait times, but being one of around four tables in the restaurant, it did feel like it took a while for our mealsto arrive. I think given some time, most of the issues we had during our visit will work themselves out. All of the staff feltgenuinely happy that we were there having a meal at the restaurant, and they were all trying to make sure we were enjoying ourtime. Unfortunately they just haven't found their groove yet. I can't say I'll never eat here again, but I don't think I'll beback for a while. Honestly, if I could leave a 0 star review I would. Myself and 5 other friends stopped in to try this new place out. We sat at... the bar, and it took well over 5 minutes to even be ?greeted? by the bartender. When he did greet us, he seemed extremelybothered that we were there. After 10 minutes he finally handed us drink menus, which we had to ask for. We were not eating andmade that known to him. A few of us are in the service industry so we are probably the most understanding people to serve. Weunderstand that things get busy and the tables need their drinks made also. However, we were very much overshadowed by thebartender making the tables drinks and ignoring the bar patrons, and after literally 25 minutes of sitting at the bar with stillno drink order even being taken, we unfortunately did stand up and walked out. The bartender was awfully dry and said maybe 2sentences to us, ignored us acted like we were a complete burden to be there. 25 minutes to even order a drink is completelyinsane. The people at the front podium clearly saw that we were walking out unhappy and no manager or person in charge evenbothered to figure out the issue. Honestly, may have been the genuinely slowest, least social and least attentive service I've experienced sitting at a bar in my... life. I met a group of 5 friends and I was the first person who had their order taken after being seated at the bar for over 15minutes, I ordered a bottled beer and said that I would be buying the first round for everyone (we were NOT ordering food,drinks only). I was given my beer and my friend to my right was asked for her order. Ordered an Espresso Martini (which, thedrink was fantastic, I will give kudos there). However, after taking the order the bartender set the chilled glass on thecounter and then walked away for several minutes as the glass sat on the counter getting warm. Finally came to mix the drink andmade an honest mistake, so had to start over, but before starting over walked away again for several minutes. At this point, the4 people who still hadn't even gotten to order a drink after over 20 minutes of sitting at the bar stood up and walked out,because I had already ordered I said we would finish the drinks we had ordered and meet them elsewhere. Beer and a martini was23 dollars, which was what i would consider average depending on the bar, but the service was not to scale. My friends and I arevery reasonable and patient people, so for us to have to make the decision to stand up and leave the bar after nearly 30 minutesof not getting to even order a drink is frustrating. There were other people at the bar and in the restaurant, but it was notswamped. I've been to bars with 40 people at the bar with a single bartender and never had to wait that long in my life. Weended up driving down the road to Mo's and sat at the bar where we were met with a super friendly bartender and prompt, friendlyservice. I'm not sure if there were unique circumstances that led to a shifty evening for the staff, but it certainly would notprompt me into a return visit by any means. Read more

The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a clean modern design. The service was good, the dishes varied. I found my order to... be mediocre for the price; granted the ingredients were fresh and high quality, so may have been paying a premium for that. I'dgive Hearth another try next time I'm in Malone. It's really nice to see a place like this in Malone and I hope they'll getbetter with time, because there is a lot of potential there, but some of the dishes need improvement. Read more
