Food, staff, and vibe were great! We had the Parma prosciutto, pear salad, and lobster linguine. All the food was very good and... the staff were friendly. The vibe inside is wonderful and has spectacular views for sunset! Parking is valet so be prepared evenif you park yourself to hand over the keys, the service is 12 dollars and is cash only but luckily there is an ATM outside. Read more
This place has a beautiful view. The food was okay nothing special. I ordered pasta with shrimp and it was all right mostly it... tasted like garlic. I like garlic do not get me wrong but I expected a little bit different flavor something besides garlic. Theprices there are higher than they should be because the food does not taste that great. However, I believe people primarily gothere for the view that they pay. The staff was nice. However, they need to improve the quality of food that is for sure. Myfriends highly recommended that place for the view and I liked the view but I was disappointed with the food. People should goto the restaurant for the food and people should recommend it for the quality of food in the first place and after that foreverything else. Read more
Great place for a restaurant i recommend outside depending on weather. Beautiful breeze the deck has a great view. The food and... drinks were quick did not wait long to try our delicious pick. The crew is attentive even having our own waiter we had otherwaiter helping us out. Great team work here. Read more
The outdoor view by the ocean and breeze was mesmerizing. The atmosphere and vibe is great. Staff are really polite and... friendly. However the food is just fine nothing fancy or doesn’t have the “wow” factor. But overall because of itslocation and service I will always go back there. Read more
Well where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived from the moment we left, our experience was simply sublime. The gentleman... behind the bar (I’m sorry Sir I cannot remember your name but you were fantastic) started off our afternoon of dining with agreat cocktail and the suggestion of ordering and eating in a tapas style. Something that I can only highly recommend as you getto try a little bit of everything! For me the Swordfish was stand out, incredibly fresh and served with beautifully seasonedasparagus, certainly worth the flight from Frankfurt, Germany. Let me start by sharing that everyone from the valet staff, to the reservation check in, the hostess stand, manager, servers &... other wait staff were all attentive & friendly. They had no issues helping us take group photos. We sat out on the patio &there's nothing like the soothing sound of waves crashing into the rocks beneath us. There are heaters of course but the eveningair was crisp & refreshing. The ambiance is romantic yet good for families & groups. The inside of the restaurant offers oceanviews as well. There were 5 of us gals out in Malibu celebrating a birthday dinner here. The flavors of the dishes were freshyet simple. We enjoyed it all & were able to share so that we had a chance to try different menu items. Menu is competitive withCalifornia coastal dining. Dress is casual to business casual from what I noticed. Moonshadows has such a beautiful ocean view! It’s ideal to go on a nice sunny day to enjoy the view outside. It’s also a... great place for a romantic evening dinner after the sun sets. I’ve had a few dishes here and the food overall is okay. I’dsay you’re paying more for the incredible view. Parking is tricky and I would recommend having cash for $10 valet. Read more
We came here for dinner and our reservation was at 9 but the host was able to sit us down 2 hours early when we asked. The staff... here were great, especially our server. He was honest about his recommendations on what to order and always came by to make surethat we had everything we needed. We got the clam chowder and grilled octopus to start and they were good but nothing toospecial. Since we were full from our late lunch earlier, we got one main, the Chilean sea bass. This was our favourite mealhere. The fish was very soft on the inside yet slightly crispy on the edges. I do think you are mainly paying for the views,especially at sunset. However, since we came at night there wasn’t much of a view. The atmosphere was still nice as we satclose to the water so we were able to hear the waves crash into the rocks. Read more
