This place is a tier above all other Chinese food spots in Malden. Food was overflowing and the quality is amazing for the... price. The cashier is so nice and friendly and I think she threw me a couple of extra appetizers in my bag for the 10 minutewait in the cold weather. This is the hole in the wall Chinese food spot you?re looking for. Plenty of parking at the T stopacross the street if you need it. Read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the sesame sweet and sweet and sour chicken with Vegitable fried rice... two days ago and it was TERRIBLE! Such a disappointment appointment. The chicken was over cooked. Batter was very hard. The meatsoaked up so much oil that I couldn't even taste, or chew it. $20 worth of air is what I had. Now, maybe I caught them at a badtime or they were rushing. However, you should not serve someone food like that. Then, they had the audacity to add extrachicken on the side. It was worse than the chicken in the tray. After this first impression I don't know if I'll ever go back.On top of that the Vegitables taste like mint. Read more

Definitely the best Chinese food I've had in the Malden area. Probably one of the best Chinese takeout places in the Boston area... too. Everything was super good, made quickly, and the service was great too. Breakdown of what I ordered: Pork Fried Rice --This is a huge helping of rice, and it's good enough to just eat on its own. The pork is super flavorful and is in big pieces. The fried rice is also THE CORRECT COLOR... if you've ordered from some other Chinese places in the Malden area, you probablyknow what I'm talking about. Scallion Pancakes - Really good, the texture was pretty flaky which I didn't expect but I honestlyliked it better than the scallion pancakes I've had at other restaurants. The dipping sauce with it was SO GOOD! Egg Roll - Ihad one that was disappointing. Super heavy on the vegetables and they were cut a bit chunky, and the flavors and textures werekinda samey to me. The other Egg Roll was amazing with a good mix of meat and veggies. Also, they are huge. Spring Roll - Ireally liked it. Basically just tasted like a better version of the Egg Roll, flavors were better but it was smaller + differentwrapping. I would order this instead of the egg roll. Ma Po Tofu - Very good, pretty spicy, and the portion was HUGE! It wasoverflowing with tofu, meat, and sauce. As far as takeout Ma Po Tofu goes, probably the best I've had. General Gao Chicken - Alittle spicier than expected but definitely not too spicy. Their sauce is very good, and might be made inhouse because it'sdifferent (and better) than most other Gao sauces I've had. The chicken was really crisp and delicious. Tons and tons of chickenfor only like $13. Can't wait to try more stuff on the menu!! To the restaurant owners: Keep doing what you're doing! :) :) Read more

One of the friendliest cashiers I?ve met. Very nice. I asked them if they sold drinks she recommended me a store nearby that... might be open. After my food was ready she asked if I had gone but I didn?t and she offered a water bottle. Really generous andkind. I got the three for 16.95. Food is bomb and plentiful as well. I got the crab Rangoon chicken wings and beef broccoli.Alittle bit saucy and sweet for my flavor on the beef and broccoli but everything tastes good. Will comeback for more Read more

Honestly in my opinion, Asia Gourmet in the Oak Grove section of Malden is simply the best Asian take-out I have had since... living in Chinatown in NYC over 40 years ago. Hidden among the typical and popular Asian/American menu items offered there aresome genuine and authentic home-style dishes that would keep even older generation customers satisfied and coming back formore. It is one of Malden's secrets that not enough local foodies know about. We devour every dish ordering on a regular basisand highly recommend Asia Gourmet! Read more
