I visited here in a rainstorm on a warm summer night. It was an oasis in a storm. Leah was our bartender, but she was more the... life of the party. The drinks were cold and came fast. Leah dealt beers, whiskey and food faster than a black jack dealer inAtlantic City. The food is excellent, the staff is charming and Leah runs the bar like a maestro. This is a place to visitoften you will not be disappointed in the atmosphere, the food and beverage and the charm of Leah snd the staff. Get inhere!!!....This place and the staff are fine!!! Since the reopening the food has been much better. The chicken Ceasar salad has the best dressing and it?s topped with shaved... Parmesan Reggiano. The grain salad with quinoa chick peas and goat cheese is gluten free and delicious! Everything on the menulooks great and I can?t wait to go back to try something else! Read more
I went to Tavern 17 recently and the food was awesome! The menu has something for everyone. I got the cheeseburger with gruyere... cheese and it was sooo good, and my husband got the quesadillas which were also delicious. Looking forward to tasting more fromthe menu next time!! I had a very poor experience at this establishment. Walking in there was no hostess at the desk and the floors were audibly... sticky. The bartender was beyond busy and running around, servers too, and the manager was visibly on his phone not backing upthe bar or servers. On a Saturday night at 7:30 we waited one hour for (2) burgers (no appetizers). Finally upon arrival thefood order was not correct. At that point I was beyond tired and frustrated, they offered to take the uneaten burger off, thebill came charge was still there. Too busy to fight anymore we paid for our burgers and left. The restroom was atrocious, dirtypapers all over the floor and half the stalls didn?t have toilet paper. The Hilton should be absolutely disgusted to beassociated with such a poorly managed establishment. It?s unfortunate because it has the potential to be a very lucrativerestaurant. The food was okay. Not great but passable. Service was poor. There were maybe 4 tables and our food still took 30+ minutes to... come out. Our waitress was distracted and just not great. At one point while we were waiting for our food a waiter came over andasked if we were being served. We had already been sitting there for 20 minutes and he had already passed us multiple times andwe had drinks served to us. He was oblivious. The water still tastes horrible just like it did before the restaurant was sold tothe new owners. I probably wouldn?t go back again. Read more
The food was awesome and and full of flavor. I enjoyed my meal last night. I ordered the tavern burger which was cooked to... perfection and the chipotle? mayo made the burger. The server I had Rebecca was great. I was sitting at the bar and looks like agreat place to watch a sporting event. Would be nice if they had bar food specials during happy hour. Tavern 17 has a great outdoor patio weather permitting. They are on the way to acheiving greatness here. Menu is on smaller side... todays choice was theTavern burger fries for an appi something new for me the bluecheese chips. The chips, home made potatochips with bluecheese sauce and crumbles, bacon and some vegi pieces. Chips were amazing nice and light perfect for an outdoorsummer night. Tavern burger done just perfect as ordered along side amazing fries. I should mention we left the choice toClayte our server. Asking how hungry I was he nailed both the entre and appi. He new his menu was clear in explaining thedetails and made things a lot of fun. He remained attentive our entire visit. Upon leaving we felt like we were exiting afamily BBQ. Was Greated at 6:30 pm on a wed by very rude server saying the kitchen was last call and we needed to order....why would a... restaurant close at 6:30 on a wed night when connected to a hotel. Would have been understanding if there was an apology orexplanation instead of being treated rude. Read more
