My wife and I had an excellent experience eating at Salvatore Scallopini for the first time. Our service from every staff member... was excellent, prompt, and kind. Our food and drinks came quickly, and were all prepared with care. Everything tasted excellentand of high quality. The menu covered all bases, but wasn't overwhelming. The free bread was incredible, and they are verygenerous with it. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. We WILL be returning here again. No wonder my parents alwaysloved coming here! I was excited to try their food after seeing them celebrating 40 years, pics in the review and having 4 stars?unfortunately that... was the opposite of our experience. Food was overpriced and not good. The lasagna wasn?t very good, the chicken in the salad wassoggy. The salad was loaded with tomato. Minestrone soup tasted like a vegetable medley soup. Chicken mushroom Marsala was goodaccording to my guest. One of the waitresses were super nice, unfortunately our waitress (giving her the benefit of the doubt)was having a bad day. The red sauce they serve with the bread was good. Bread was ok. The best thing there is the Romanodressing. They don?t have ranch but the Romano was just as good. Very clean inside, but small. Finding a good Italian restaurant can be difficult, especially with restaurants changing the menus and all together closing. One... thing that I really enjoyed was that they could customize any dish that has a sauce. So when we were there they had a specialbeef marsala. Not only did they make it a chicken marsala but they put it on angel hair pasta just for me! It was fantastic, Iwill be back for this dish for sure. Read more

Everybody in our group was blown away. Even the ravioli (not pictured) was a hit. I would suggest do not do the traditional... chicken parm, thats what I ordered and I feel I sold myself short. The soup was nice thick and hearty, the appetizer we hadcalamari was lightly battered and ????. The bread and red sauce with I guess cheese was delicious would have liked it to be hotmarinara sauce but it was still good cold.
